I am satisfied with the faculty members and good placements. It has good infrastructure.
Placements: About 80% of students get placed in our course. The highest salary package offered in our course ranges from 14-15 LPA. The average salary package ranges from 10-11 LPA. The lowest package offered ranges from 8-9 LPA. The top recruiting companies for our course are Nestle India Limited, Britannia Industries Ltd., Indian Immunologicals Ltd., etc. About 85% of students got internships from our course as habitat biologists, conservation scientists, ecologists, veterinarians, etc. The top roles offered in our course are zoologist, ecologist, wildlife rehabilitator, research scientist, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure of our department are well-equipped with modern facilities that support both academic excellence and practical training. There is also free Wi-Fi in our department. There are also well-equipped laboratories in our department and also a library. The quality of facilities in our hostel is very good. The quality of food available in the hostel and canteen is fresh and very hygienic. There is also a hospital in our college that provides good medical facilities. There is also an indoor stadium for sports and games.
Faculty: Teachers here are very helpful and cooperative. They are well-qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is very good. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. The difficulty level of semester exams depends on how much attention we pay in class. The pass percentage is 70%.
Other: I chose this course because of the variety of scopes and my interest in animals and research. The best thing about this course is it is a comprehensive and well-integrated approach to both theoretical knowledge and practical application. I would wish for new research technologies and more opportunities for collaborative fieldwork with external research organizations. Our department organises events and fests. The campus crowd is not that large so it makes it more peaceful. The connectivity among students here is very good, understanding and there exists unity among us. The campus surroundings are very beautiful, full of greenery, etc. Scholarships are also available and extracurricular activities are conducted here.
