Very good college for nursing.
Placements: Around 95% of students got placed in various hospitals in our course. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Top recruiting hospitals are Appolo, PG, and many more. Top roles offered in our course are nurse, receptionist, assistant doctor, lab assistant, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college facilities are very good. Classrooms are big, clean, and well-maintained. Labs are perfect for practice. Many books are available in library. Hostel facilities are also very good. All are under CCTV surveillance. The foods of the hostel and canteen are also tasty and healthy.
Faculty: Teachers are well-trained from various hospitals or medical colleges. They teach students very well. Their teaching skills are perfect. Our course curriculum is good for the students to make them industry-ready. Our exams are a little bit tough. But 60% marks are enough to be promoted to next semester.
Other: I chose this course to become a nurse. Campus is always full of crowd. Many scholarships are available like SVMCM, Oasis, etc.

Burdwan University has good discipline.
Placements: It is one of the best government colleges under Burdwan University. The college does not have a recorded recruitment history, as no companies come for recruitment since it is not an engineering college. However, students who focus on academics can certainly achieve something.
Infrastructure: The college campus is huge with good infrastructure, and each department has its laboratory equipped with all the necessary equipment. There are separate buildings for boys and girls, along with low-cost hostel facilities offering good quality food. The classrooms have big blackboards.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Regular doubt sessions are held after every class. Parent-teacher meetings take place after every semester to enhance the academic improvement of the students. Teachers also provide notes, and the difficulty level of the semester exams is moderate.

If you work hard, you are eligible for internships.
Placements: There is a separate department for student placements that helps students in their placement process. The college offers internships to students in this course with a fixed stipend of at least Rs 10,000 per month. If you are a good student, you will be eligible.
Infrastructure: Burdwan provides free medical facilities to the students. There are various sports available for students to play on campus, such as volleyball, cricket, and football. Medical facilities are available for emergencies.
Faculty: Examinations are conducted on a semester and mid-semester basis. Internal assessments carry a weightage of 60%, while the final semester exams carry 40%. This course provides students with industrial preparation and a comprehensive view of the industry as a whole. Most students in our subject clear the semester exams.

Dissatisfied with everything.
Placements: The college does not care about getting all the students placed; only a handful of 40% of students get placement and internship opportunities through the college and the rest have to struggle on their own to earn for themselves. Some basic and one or two only good brands come for the process.
Infrastructure: There is a very limited facility available and the maintenance is too bad. There are helpers but only for a limited time and they generally come when you have a lecture, due to which you cannot be present and get the room cleaned; it remains dirty and there are also electricity cuts.
Faculty: The faculty members are good but the curriculum is not updated frequently with the requirements or standards of the industry. The touch of industry connection and people meeting is missing; there are no workshops or guest lectures that the department plans for its students.

Overall, a decent learning space.
Placements: The top recruiters that generally come regularly for placement on our campus include Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Navodaya Vidallaya Samiti, the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and various other educational institutions, along with some private schools.
Infrastructure: The classrooms were updated recently and made in a new technology format that is like any other modern classroom, where teachers use the smart board to show us slides that they have prepared for the topic and teach the same, which are later shared with us.
Faculty: The faculty members are the strength of the university; they are very much valued by the students and its a two-way relationship, like they give 200 percent and everything to make sure that the student is successful while at the same time meeting what the student asks of them.

As per the data fetcehd from the NIRF report 2024, the median salary offered to UG 3-year students during the 2023 placements was INR 4.25 LPA. For PG 2-year courses, it stood at INR 4 LPA. Over the past three years, an improving trend was observed in UG 3-year and PG 2-year median salaries.

Out of 1,035 UG 3-year graduates 167 were placed during the 2023 placements. Earlier, 192 out of 1,645 UG 3-year students were placed during the 2022 placements. Furthermore, 8 out of 29 PG 2-year students were placed in 2023. Earlier, 11 out of 31 PG 2-year students were placed in 2022.
