Did I waste my 3 years at Islamia College of Science and Commerce? My honest college review.
Placements: Unfortunately, no student in my course got placed. The college has an official placement cell, but it is practically inactive. No student from my batch got an internship either. Any student for whom getting placed is a priority should think more before joining this college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was kind of decent. The classrooms were both big and small. My favorite place in the entire college was the library. The library is well-maintained, with AC and Wi-Fi facilities as well. The hostel is average. The boys' hostel contains around 26 rooms. Three students stay in a room, making it difficult to have private space there. The food was also decent, though I personally found some hygienic issues. The college has a big group, and you can participate in multiple sports.
Faculty: Teachers were formally qualified and knowledgeable. However, most of them, except for a few, lacked effective teaching techniques. I feel the curriculum, for the most part, is not relevant from the industry perspective. You're mostly trained for getting good marks, not for jobs. The difficulty of the semester exams was moderate. Most of the students (80%) pass the exam easily.
Other: I chose this course because I was fairly good at the subject. I had decided in my 10th class that I would take the Commerce stream. However, I was a little disappointed with the syllabus. I feel that the syllabus taught at the Bachelor's level should be designed with the needs of the industry at the center. The college does organize events, but very few. I hope the college organizes more events in the future. About the scholarships, I'm not sure. I am from a general category. I don't think they have scholarship programs for reserved categories.

Dissatisfied with the infrastructure and expensive fees.
Placements: It is unfortunate to tell that there is no placement for our course in the university, no one ever placed, and no companies arrived there. It all seems so much off. They literally don't care about anything, never asked for it its bad, they just take the exam, nothing more than that.
Infrastructure: Average classroom and basic as a new building is being prepared, not well-equipped labs, average library, no road, hard to reach campus, the worst canteen, and no medical facilities. None of the sports and games, it is a below-average university, nothing here feels good.
Faculty: Faculty is good, curriculum is fine, and exams are all well, but its much of stress during continuous exams. Semester exams are very difficult, but they are conceptual. These courses are good, but it makes students industry ready. Teachers are well qualified.
Other: I chose this course because it has good practical work. No events, festivals, or anything is held.

Excellent college; I love it.
Placements: Our college provides better placement after completion of the course, and always thinks about the students. Our placement cell always looks towards the better companies. Our college is the best for giving placement to the students. They provide good opportunities for us.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is very well maintained and clean. Many workers look after the hygiene system. They clean floors every day. There are ACs inbuilt, and every classroom is neat and clean. There is also Wi-Fi available in our college.
Faculty: In our college, teachers are very helpful to us, they always teach us discipline. Teachers are very kind and funny. They treat us as their own child. We are so thankful to them. Our college exam system is very good and easy as it requires very little study.
Other: I am pursuing a BBA in marketing as I am very glad that I am a student of Islamia College.

Excellent infrastructure, supportive faculty, and great placements.
Placements: In Our College (Islamia College of Science And Commerce), after completion of courses, they will give placements in some companies. In my course, 2-3 students were placed in a company, which is the greatest thing in our college. In other courses, they were placed in other companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure in our college is very good. Our labs are maintained, and our college Wi-Fi is very good. Classrooms and the library are also good and well-maintained. The quality of the facilities in our hostel is extremely good, and the quality of food is the best that is available in the mess and also in the canteen. A medical facility is also available here. Sports and games are conducted every day by the Department of Physical Education.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, and they are qualified and extremely knowledgeable. Teaching quality is very good as per the students' needs. This course curriculum is relevant. It makes the students industry-ready. It's not so difficult to pass the semester exam. The passing percentage is almost 50% in each semester.
Other: I chose this course because my aim is to be a Network Engineer and a Cyber Security Analyst. There's nothing to change or improve about my course. Our college also mainly focuses on events, fests, connectivity, extracurricular activities, etc.

Placements: Placement in this college is minimal to non existent. In my two years here I haven't observed any recruiting companies visiting our campus. Don't expect any placement support from this college. If that's a key expectation then simply don't take admission here.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of our college is normal but our library does possess most of the books from academic texts to top novels. The quality of food in the canteen is average but it's cheaper as compared to the general market. There are many tournaments held annually, such as cricket and badminton.
Faculty: Most teachers are helpful and supportive. I would rate their teaching quality 7 out of 10. I believe our teaching methods can be improved drastically if they add more practical activities apart from theoretical instruction. The difficulty of the semester exams is moderate, and most students pass the exam. There are also four tests held every semester for eligibility in the final exam, while some subjects have just two tests.
Other: I believe this college has great potential and should focus more on practical application than just theory. This approach would better prepare students for the real world and allow them to understand subjects more deeply.

I rate it a solid 8.5 out of 10.
Placements: Around 50% of people get placed. The remaining 50% decide to start their businesses. Students also get internships in companies like Infosys and Midenious. My course offers roles like CA, HR Manager, and Accountant. Students also get jobs in companies like Amazon and Myntra.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is amazing. New buildings are being constructed. The library is also big, with four floors containing every book. The hostel, mess, sports, and medical facilities are amazing, except for the washrooms and canteen, which are a bit untidy. The washrooms are not cleaned properly, and the canteen does not care about hygiene, as they don't use good oil for preparing meals.
Faculty: Teachers are amazingly helpful and well-qualified. The college makes students industry-ready. Due to NEP 2020 and the multidisciplinary approach, students have to study subjects from every field. The exams are quite good, and 90% of students pass them easily, while 10% face backlogs because of their inconsistency.
Other: I am interested in management and accounting. The course would be more interesting if the additional subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Maths imposed due to NEP 2020 were removed. They disturb the focus on the core subjects of the course. Events, camps, and scholarships are amazing, and I love them.
