CEPT is the stepping stone to move forward in this industry, and it has an edge over SPAs and NITs.
Placements: You have to find placements on your own. There are certain measures taken, but honestly, it is not that difficult to get placed if you have the CEPT tag on your CV. You'll start as an intern, but you'll know that you know more than Master's students from other colleges at that level.
Infrastructure: The college is situated right in the center of the city. Hostels are 15 minutes away from college. The best library is available in our college. Continuous efforts are made to improve and conserve the existing infrastructure. There might be some persistent issues, but nothing beats the college life you get here.
Faculty: We didn't have exams but juries to present our semester's worth of design process and final design. It enables one to learn how to deal with client presentations in real life. Externals are called in to give valuable feedback. The portfolio one gets to make here in 5 years is worth sleepless nights in every semester.
Other: The college gives you extensive knowledge about the field and other things associated.

Only go on if you are really interested in this line. Otherwise NO!
Placements: Placement companies were not allowed on campus till 2013, because of the dignity of the college. The skills developed would automatically give an aspiring first job. You'll develop a lot of contacts here. Because the whole university is dedicated to this construction line, from architecture to interior design to planning to civil (only if you are not shy to open up).
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is great. New major amendments are taking place at the campus right now. I experienced old campus so I love it more than the new changes coming up. But they are fine as well. Facilities include canteen, stationery, computer lab, TT, common ground, basketball court, soothing lawns, free wifi with 10 Mbps speed* (very subjective to the no. of people using it, minimum you get is 500 Kbps download speed), library, computer lab (8 am-8 pm), you'll get AC classrooms and studios (almost every year), campus life and extra curricular activities are always at peak, hostels (400 m away). Hostel rooms are good and spacious (depends on how clean you keep it). Campus is very good and motivating environment.
Faculty: The course is great, you'll find practical experience of site more than any student of India. If you are really interested in civil engineering, then go on. But if you just taking a chance, then it will be hard upon you to cope up, and end up with less grades, so better decide well. Fees are very high, costs up to 80k per semester, increasing 11-12% year wise. So it's going to cost a fortune. Invest wisely. Invest only if you are really, really interested in civil engineering. Take lots of review with civil engineers before choosing this line. Faculty members are good. Only a few are exceptional according to my point of view. But all of them are qualified. You'll get industry exposure guaranteed for 2 times for full semester). Other semesters you'll have frequent site visits. You'll get the best industry exposure in this course than any other course in India, for sure. Student to faculty ratio is 80:1. Too bad.
Other: My advice would be to invest wisely. If you really aspire to pursue construction line. Then take chances. But if you are not, then definitely no. Because you'll have to work more than any other college student. Passing criteria for any exams is 50% and not 35% here. The course if of 5 years (5th year is dedicated to thesis) The degree you get is BCT (bachelors in construction technology). Earlier, till 2012, it was B.Tech (hons.) but unfortunately, it changed due to an increase in intake from 30 to 60 from 2012 to 2013 and eventually it is 80 per batch now.

I would recommend joining this college.
Placements: I got an opportunity to intern in the US, where I spent 1 year, and 6 months of the last semester and extended 6 months post-degree. Our college has built a strong foundation, that helped me perform well in that opportunity. Students got placed with a salary of Rs. 30,000 - Rs. 50,000 per month in big cities like Ahmedabad, Delhi, and Mumbai. Most of them also applied to graduate schools. They got accepted to great universities abroad.
Infrastructure: Our college has workshops. Studios are available 24X7. The library is available in our college. We spent a lot of time in the library. The hostel facility is available for girls. I would recommend exploring other private PGs.
Faculty: Our faculty members are knowledgeable and supportive. They have good experience in their fields. The course curriculum is well-structured. It gives a holistic understanding of the complex field of urban design. They create an encouraging environment for us to grow and give our best. They provide constructive comments to help us shape and structure our thoughts well.
