It’s a good college, food is not bad, placement is above average, campus life is great.
Placements: The highest package is ₹1.1 CPA for CSE. The average package is ₹5–6 LPA. Around 70–80% of students got placed. It’s a good college, and placement is also above average. Courses available here are BE CSE, Nursing, and Pharmacy, which are high-tech and informative.
Infrastructure: Classes are good and airy. Labs are spacious. Food is okay, not bad. Hostel facilities are fulfilled generally. Sometimes, some issues occur which are resolved by the respective warden and hostel staff. Infrastructure of classrooms is also good. Labs are according to modern concepts.
Faculty: Faculty is good enough for teaching. Semester exams are average, not too tough, not too easy. These courses are curriculum-relevant, which makes students industry-ready. The pass percentage is not bad for students. Exams are a bit tougher in ST3.

Excellent placements, supportive faculty, and modern campus facilities.
Placements: For the 2024 batch at Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh, around 98% of students were placed. The highest package is 1.11 crore, the average is 8.5 Lacs, and the lowest is 4 LPA. Top recruiters included Infosys, TCS, Wipro, IBM, and Accenture, with roles in software, data analysis, business analysis, and digital marketing. About 70% of students secured internships with companies like LG Soft, Cognizant, and Deloitte.
Infrastructure: The course at Chitkara University offers modern facilities, including Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms, well-equipped labs, and a comprehensive library. Hostels are comfortable, with good food in the mess and canteen. Medical services, sports, and recreational facilities are well-maintained for students’ overall well-being.
Faculty: At Chitkara University, teachers are qualified, approachable, and knowledgeable, providing effective guidance. The curriculum is industry-relevant, preparing students for professional roles. Semester exams are moderately challenging, with a high pass percentage of around 90%, reflecting strong academic support.
Other: I chose this course at Chitkara University for its industry-relevant curriculum and strong placement record. The best aspects include practical learning, supportive faculty, and good internship opportunities. Improvements could include more advanced labs and updated resources. The campus has a lively crowd, hosts cultural and technical fests, and offers good connectivity, scholarships, and extracurricular activities. The surroundings are scenic and peaceful, providing a balanced academic and social environment.

Not worth it; you can get a better college.
Placements: The placement cell is not very active, and only a few companies visit during placement drives, mostly offering low packages. Students are often left to find jobs on their own. Internship opportunities are also limited and not well-organized by the college. Though the campus is decent, and there are occasional cultural fests and activities, these do little to compensate for the academic shortcomings. Hostels are average at best, especially when it comes to handling student grievances. Simple tasks like getting documents signed or issues with fee payments become unnecessarily long processes, with hygiene and food quality being constant concerns.
Infrastructure: Though the campus is decent, and there are occasional cultural fests and activities, these do little to compensate for the academic shortcomings. There's a lot of bureaucracy involved, which creates frustration among students.
Faculty: The administration is slow and unresponsive, especially when it comes to handling student grievances. Simple tasks like getting documents signed or issues with fee payments become unnecessarily long processes. There's a lot of bureaucracy involved, which creates frustration among students.
Other: While this college might work for someone just looking for a degree, those with higher academic or career expectations may find it disappointing. There is a need for improvement in academics, placements, and overall management. Until then, I would suggest looking at other options if possible.

For studies, it is a good college. There will be strict action for any non-disciplinary activity.
Placements: I am part of the B.Pharm course. Overall, the maximum students are placed in this course. It does not give more high placements to all. Overall, it is good for studies.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are good. The library is also good. Facilities are overall good. The campus is not big but okay. The hostel is okay.
Faculty: Teachers are good and supportive. Exams are conducted very strictly, and we cannot cheat. If we cheat, then there will be a strict action. 80% of attendance is compulsory in all subjects. Otherwise, we do not get a seat in the exam. After that, we get a fine of Rs. 3,000 per subject.
Other: If there is a non-disciplinary activity, then they will take a fine. Overall, it is okay for extracurricular activities.

Strong CSE placements, modern campus, and active student life at Chitkara HP.
Placements: I'm from the B.Tech CSE 2024-28 batch at Chitkara University, HP. Around 90 percent of students got placed. The highest package is 44 LPA (off-campus) and the average is 6 LPA- 8 LPA. Top recruiters include Amazon, Infosys, Wipro, TCS and ZS Associates. About 85 percent of students got internships at companies like Cognizant, TCS iON and teach startups. Roles offered are software developer, data analyst and QA engineer. Great campus and placement support.
Infrastructure: The CSE department has smart classrooms, high-speed Wi-Fi and well-equipped labs for AI, ML, IoT and networking. The library is modern with good digital resources. Hostels are clean and secure with 24/7 power. Mess food is average but hygienic. The canteen offers a better variety. Medical facilities are available on campus with a resident doctor. Sports facilities include basketball, volleyball and gym access for students.
Faculty: The faculty is qualified, helpful, and approachable. Teaching quality is good, with a focus on practical skills and industry tools. The curriculum is updated regularly with subjects like AI, ML, and cloud computing to ensure industry readiness. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty if you attend classes and practice regularly. The pass percentage is high, around 90%, with good academic support provided by the faculty.
Other: I chose this course due to my interest in coding and the strong placement record. The best part is hands-on learning, updated curriculum, and industry exposure. I wish there were more open electives and global certification support. Campus life is vibrant with teach fests, sports, clubs, and clean surroundings. The crowd is diverse, Wi-Fi is good, and scholarships are available for meritorious students.

You can choose a better college.

Hostels are average at best, with hygiene and food quality being constant concerns. Getting documents signed or issues with fee payments become unnecessarily long processes. Faculty: Experience at this college has been quite underwhelming. While it had a promising reputation and good infrastructure from the outside, it lacked proper faculty engagement. Many professors seem disinterested in teaching and rarely go beyond reading slides. Doubts are often left unresolved, and student feedback is generally ignored.
