    For admission to the BE course at CIET Chandigarh, the college accepts one entrance exam – JEE Mains. Candidates with the relevant scores in the entrance exam can get admission to the BTech course. Moreover, before appearing in the entrance exam, candidates must ensure that they complete the basic eligibility criteria, which require candidates to complete their Class 12 from the Science stream with an aggregate of 60%.

    Good college, must visit.
    Placements: Good placements. Most students get placed. The maximum package goes up to 1 crore. The lowest is 3 LPA, with an average of 7–8 LPA. Many top companies visit the college. Students start getting internships from the 3rd year. Overall, there are lots of placement opportunities.
    Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very beautiful, with so many trees that make the campus look very beautiful and green. There is a library that is open to students 24/7. There are very big classrooms with lots of facilities. Hostels are very hygienic, with homelike food served to the students.
    Faculty: Teachers are quite knowledgeable, and almost all have completed their Ph.D. There are skilled trainers for various subjects. The curriculum does make students industry-ready. Semester exams are moderate. It also depends on the preparation of the individual. Almost all students pass.
    Other: I learn a lot here.

    The college provides good infrastructure and facilities.
    Placements: About 65-70% of students were placed in the course. The highest package was 14 LPA, the lowest package was 3.50 LPA, and the average package was 5.50 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Uno Mind, Dyson, NXP, and Micron. Around 60% of students got internships through the course in companies like Micron, Elmack Engineering, and Schneider Electric. The top role offered was Graduate Engineer Trainee.
    Infrastructure: Classrooms were well built. Wi-Fi connectivity was good. Labs had all the electronic components, and students could get components issued. There was a big central library for studying. The hostel facilities were good, with good Wi-Fi, induction cooktops, and a fridge on every floor. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen was okay. There was a dispensary inside the campus. There were many indoor sports and games as well.
    Faculty: Faculty members were great, helpful, and highly educated. The teaching quality was very good and easy to understand. The course curriculum was revised and industry-oriented. Semester exams were not that difficult to pass. Almost all students passed the exams by studying a week before the exams.
    Other: This course gave hands-on experience in electronics and helped us understand how things worked in real life. The re-appear fee for each course should have been reduced. Events happened regularly in the college. The connectivity from Chandigarh was also good. The campus surroundings had PG accommodations and shops for daily needs.

    Worth considering for engineering.
    Placements: Around 85 percent of students got placed (2027 passing batch for CSE AIML students). The highest package is 45 LPA and the average package is 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Deloitte, TCS, and Infosys. Top roles offered are software engineer, full stack developer, AIML engineer, backend developer, and data analyst.
    Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good and well-maintained. Wi-Fi is available across the campus. The college has computer labs. The library is spacious, and hostels are clean. There is a well-maintained ground for sports also. The mess food is average but the canteen provides a really good variety of food.
    Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, and they provide quality content making it easier for the students to learn and grasp concepts. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty. Pass percentage is around 90-95 percent. If a student attends regular classes, they can easily score well in exams.

    Placements: 70-75 percent of students got placed in the ECE Batch. The highest package is 14 LPA, the lowest is 3.6 LPA, and the average package is 4 LPA-5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Schneider Electric, NXP, and Uno Mind. 80 percent of students got internships in NXP, Uno Mind, and Euler Motors. Top roles offered are Graduate Engineer Trainee and Service Engineer.
    Infrastructure: In the college, Wi-Fi is available. Grounds are available to play and relax. Labs have all the required hardware. There is a Central Library, and there are libraries in many other departments. Classrooms are air-conditioned and very good. Dress code is there. The hostel is nice. There is a 4-time meal system including snacks. There are vending machines as well. The food available in the canteen is nice, and there is a dispensary. There are volleyball and basketball courts. There is a football ground and many indoor games like carrom, badminton, and table soccer.
    Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They give real-world examples to explain concepts. The course curriculum is good but relying entirely on the curriculum is not great. It provides some industry knowledge. The semester exams are easy to pass. The questions are most likely the same every year.
    Other: The course gives real-time knowledge about semiconductors and how it is industry-relevant. The course is mostly theoretical, and more industry exposure is required. The events and fests are great. The college crowd is decent and the connectivity is good from Chandigarh. It is in the village of Jhansla. There are many extra curricular activities conducted.

    Placements: I am in the BE CSE AI/ML course at Chitkara University. Placements in CSE AI/ML are generally high. Around 80-95% of students get placed. The highest package is 1.2 crores per annum. The average package ranges from 4-5 LPA. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Wipro, HCL, etc., hire students from the college.
    Infrastructure: The infrastructure for our course is modern and well-equipped. Facilities like high-speed Wi-Fi, an advanced library, and computer labs are available. We also get advanced practical tools for learning practicals. Classrooms are well-cleaned and the best. Hostels are not too good.
    Faculty: All teachers are good and well-behaved. They help in studying in every way. All staff members are generally helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The course is designed to cover all the future technology subjects, including AI, ML, DSA, DM, DBMS, etc. Semester exams should be at a moderate to difficult level.
    Other: I chose this course due to the rapid growth of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in this era. Overall, Chitkara has the best campus and staff members. It is good for studies. Many events happen on campus.

    Placements: Around 70-80% of students got placed in good industries based on their skills and CGPA. The highest package is 1.1 crores. The top recruitment companies are Infosys, Google, and Apple. Around 60-80% of students got internships in Google, Amazon, Infosys, etc. Overall, the university is good.
    Infrastructure: Classrooms are smart-enabled with projectors, audio-visual systems, and good seating arrangements. The campus provides Wi-Fi facility all over the campus. A proper library is made for students, and it is open 24/7. Computer labs are well-equipped with the latest equipment.

    The admission into CIET Chandigarh for the BTech course is done through JEE Mains conducted by the centre; the candidate would have to fill out an application for the same and also appear for the exam and clear it. Further, they must also take part in the counselling process which is held on the college level by CIET.

    Q:   How many students can do B.Tech at CIET?
    A: 

    Each B.Tech course may have a different seat intake. Every year, 120 places are made available for B.Tech programmes in computer Science and engineering. Each year, about 60 seats will be available for the B.Tech programme in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Depending on demand, seats for all the other courses will be available. Between 30 and 60 seats may be taken. All students will have a different tuition schedule for the duration of the year, as the cost of each course may change depending on demand for the course.
