Faculty members are good, but the infrastructure and placements are poor.
Placements: I would like to tell frankly that placements from my university and from this course are about nil. There is a poor system and platform for placement and internship options. No teacher is active in the placement process. Everyone is just abdicating their responsibility. No one is concerned about students' placement, career, and university reputation.
Infrastructure: As per maintenance, fee taken from us, there is totally opposite infrastructure provided. Poor buildings, classrooms, washrooms, library, and departments are not well maintained. No water, no electricity, and no Wi-Fi is provided. Poor network is available. In my opinion, this is not at all worth maintenance fees, and we are not provided good infrastructure.
Faculty: Some teachers are excellent and also have corporate experience, but some are not. The course curriculum is good but still lacks high-demand technical skills. Some teachers just come and read PPTs, but some teach real-world skills required, teach values. They also take care of each student.
Other: I just chose this course because of value for money and a government university. Earlier I thought this city would be clean and safe with not so much crowd. But now I would not prefer anyone to come to this city. However, college events are quite good. I would recommend improving the placement cell and increasing internship opportunities. Apart from this, my course and college are value for money.

I am satisfied with the faculty's attempts to teach us more modern concepts.
Placements: Almost 80% of the students got placed. The highest salary offered is Rs. 50,000 per month. The average salary offered is Rs. 30,000 per month. The lowest salary offered is Rs. 16,000 per month. Amul India, ICICI Securities, TCS, are the top recruiters. Roles of sales executive and business analyst are offered. The highest salary package offered in our course is 8 LPA. The average salary package offered in our course is 4.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered in our course is 2.4 LPA. Almost 70% of the students got internships in Aditya Birla, Axis Bank, ITC, HDFC Bank.
Infrastructure: Amenities like computer lab, library, auditorium, projector room, and Wi-Fi, are available here. The library had old research papers from HBS. Classrooms were clean and also the entire college. Being a grade A university, it had really good food and rooms in hostels. Grounds were also well maintained. Running tracks, football ground, cricket ground, badminton court, and a well-maintained gym were also present here.
Faculty: Teachers here were very well qualified. Some of them were doing their doctorate while teaching and some were already holding PhDs. They had proper subject knowledge and communicated really well. The course structure that DAVV followed was really outdated, and many of the topics had no relevance in today's marketing world.
Other: I was interested in learning about the marketing world and how it affects consumer's daily decisions in buying goods and services. There should be more practical approach to teaching. Students were responsible for conducting events, and they were conducted according to the fixed schedule. Scholarships were available for EWS students and students coming in reserve criteria.

Good college in terms of ROI.
Placements: The placement of DAVV is decent, The college fails to get each student placed, the students with high grades and prior work experience get an edge in placement. The average package of DAVV lies between INR 5 LPA- INR 6LPA. The college barely manages to get 70% of the students placed. Students with marketing as their specialization often manages to get a placement.
Infrastructure: The college has great infrastructure like any other government b-school, The classrooms are spacious, there are a big playground and a football and a cricket field for recreation. The college library is good with huge reading space you may find there fiction books of all genres apart from academic MBA books. The canteen is okay and food is edible.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified with in-depth knowledge of their respective subject. Some senior faculty have over 2 decades of experience, Unlike other MBA colleges, in DAVV they use the conventional approach of teaching case in point using boards and markers than powerpoint presentations.

The placement record in the last five years was good.
Placements: Placement records of the college are quite good. Students have been placed in prestigious companies like TCS, Collegiate, Asian Paints, HDFC Bank, etc. It is observed that the companies show a high interest in selecting students from the college, and they seem to be satisfied with the students' performance.
Infrastructure: The college has a decent infrastructure with all basic requirements but hardly anything on the lucrative side. The college might lack in modern and updated infrastructure. However, it is covered by the hospitality it offers.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are decent. They are present for the lectures on a regular basis and are very supportive. They remain available on the campus to solve doubts and extend a helping hand for students. The course curriculum is quite good to provide a good career.

A decent college with a really good ROI.
Placements: Most of the students of our senior batch were placed. Placements in our college are good, but most of the students get placed in sales and marketing domains. Some profiles are also offered in the finance domain, but no profiles are offered in the operations sector. ROI is very good here. Well-reputed companies like Deloitte, Bajaj Finserv, HDFC, Tata AIG, Colgate Palmolive and others offer good profiles in the marketing domains, and some students are also offered jobs in the finance domain.
Infrastructure: The weakest aspect of this college is its infrastructure. The academic building is very old, and they didn't renovate it. Students don't feel comfortable being here. The college doesn't provide any projector facilities, and they don't provide any other smart teaching devices in the classroom. They are using a very traditional method of using chalk and board for teaching. Basic amenities like drinking water and washrooms are decent.
Faculty: We have quite good faculty members. They are knowledgeable, and most of them are helpful and encouraging. They have strong command on their respective subjects. Teaching methods used are a bit orthodox and can be improved to include modern day examples and real-world situations.

Yes, you can easily get admission in IMS via CMAT. Just go for attending the Counseling of CMAT, that will start soon. For general category too this is a par score. The cut off usually is approx. 85-90 percentile.

The CMAT cutoff percentile between 85-90 is good enough for this college. Hence, you have chances here.
