Established in 1972, Desh Bhagat University, Punjab is the only private university in state of Punjab to get the 12 (b) status and operates its campuses in Moga, Chandigarh, Shri Muktsar Sahib and Kenya. The university offers 256+ professional courses across 50 streams like agriculture, applied science, ayurveda, business management and communication, dentistry, engineering, etc. at the undergraduate, post graduate and doctoral level approved by UGC, AIU, BCI, CCIM, NAAC, PCI, INC, PNRC Mohali, UN Academic Impact, NCTE, DCI, CSIR, etc. Besides this, the university also has several international collaborations including those with Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan; Sprott Shaw College, British Columbia and Marketing Institute of Singapore, etc. 

B.Tech admissions are done through an entrance exam held by the university itself.The university welcomes applications from international students as well. M.Com: INR 47,100 per year

BAMS: INR 3,50,000 per year, and the full package with hostel is INR 17.5 lakh

Desh Bhagat University has not yet published the placement statistics for the BPharm course. However, the NIRF report for the year 2024 is available. As per that, a total of 42 UG-four year students were placed during the 2023 placements. Moreover, the median package offered during this DBU placement drive stood at INR 3.2 LPA.

Desh Bhagat University admissions are both merit and entrance-based. The university considers merit in the last qualifying exam to shortlist students for some of its courses.
