Diamond Harbour Women's University (DHWU) was established in 2013 to impart quality education in the field of Arts and Science. The University is recognised by the UGC and offers MA, MSc, MCom and PhD programmes in various specialisations.

It has 57 highly-qualified faculty members. The University has two faculties under which there are 13 departments. DHWU also conducts seminars, conferences, workshops and symposia.
