Jadavpur University has got tier-1 rank by NAAC.
Placements: At least 95% of students got placed per year in a Bachelor of Engineering course. The highest package is 1.5 crore per year. The lowest package is 5 LPA. The average package is 10 LPA. Companies like Texas Instruments, Wells Fargo, Oracle, CESC, PwC, HSBC, ICICI Bank, etc., visit the college to recruit students every year.
Infrastructure: Every department has its own library and Wi-Fi. Each classroom is air-conditioned and contains a projector. Both boys' and girls' hostels (3 each) are available for students coming from far rural areas.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified. Some professors belong to the top 2% of scientists in the world. Their teaching method is beyond raiseable. The course curriculum includes lab and workshop work which help a lot for working in the tech field in the future. Faculty members are very much dedicated to their teaching and care a lot for students.
Other: Only this university in West Bengal provides a bachelor of engineering degree with affordable fees and the highest placement offers, so I chose it. Course curriculum should be more accurate for higher studies entrance examinations like GATE qualifying. There are so many events like cultural (Sanskriti), tech (Srijan), film fest ( Chhayanat), etc.

An outstanding course for higher studies.
Placements: Placements generally don’t happen after a Bachelor’s degree. But after a Master’s, several companies come during the final semester. The average placement package lies in the range of 4–6 LPA. Generally, students are recruited into the R&D department. The highest package has even gone up to 12 LPA.
Infrastructure: The classrooms and, most importantly, the labs are well-equipped. Wi-Fi is available all over the campus. There is a huge collection of all types of books in both the central and departmental libraries. Hostels are also at their very best. The hostel charge is actually very nominal.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified. They provide valuable insights into the subject in both theory and practical classes. The course structure is well-established and relevant for higher studies. Semester exams are easy to moderate, I would say. The passing percentage is quite high.

It has great infrastructure and faculty members. It has limited placement opportunities.
Placements: The placement rate can vary significantly depending on the course, university, and industry trends. For top engineering, management, or IT courses, placements could range from 70-100%, with some prestigious institutions reporting near-total placement.
Infrastructure: While I don't have specific personal experience or access to details about my own course or batch. However, I can give an idea of what infrastructure is typically available for courses and hostels at many top institutions. There is a good infrastructure.

Amazing return on investment and value for money. Amazing campus life and very good placements.
Placements: In 2025, the placement record was quite good for the chemical engineering department. The highest salary is 34 LPA this year. Above 90% of students who opted for placements got placed in varying fields, mostly in the core sector. And quite good placements in the IT as well as finance sectors. Overall, chemical engineering department is quite a chill department, where you do get the time to develop quite some other skills like coding and all. Also gives you exposure for higher studies abroad.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good. Labs are maintained. Wi-Fi works quite well. Classrooms are quite clean. Library here is one of the best places. There are 4 canteens with reasonable rates for food present. Sports and games are quite encouraged too.
Faculty: Teachers are quite helpful, friendly, and highly qualified. They teach the curriculum quite well, and the curriculum is quite relevant for the higher studies exams like GATE and all. The exams are moderate to hard, but nothing out of the curriculum, so studying well can secure you good marks.
Other: Our college is quite the value for money, as the return on investment is amazing. Paying almost 10,000 for the whole 4 years, and passing out with a 10 LPA job is quite worth it. Not to mention the amazing and fun campus life at the college. It's quite fun.

It has good placements, a strong recruiter network, decent internships, and decent faculty support.
Placements: Placements at the Institute of Business Management, Jadavpur, typically see 80-90% success. The highest package ranges from 15-25 LPA. Top recruiting companies like TCS, Deloitte, and Accenture visit the college for placements. Internship offers are around 70-80%, with roles in consulting, marketing, and HR.
Infrastructure: The department offers Wi-Fi, modern classrooms, well-equipped labs, and a comprehensive library. Hostels provide decent rooms with basic amenities. The mess serves good food. Medical facilities are available. It has sports facilities like courts and a gym.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They are always ready to help us. The course curriculum is relevant and prepares students well for the industry. Semester exams are moderately challenging, with a good pass percentage due to strong academic support and preparation.
Other: I chose this course for its strong industry relevance and diverse opportunities. The best aspects are knowledgeable faculty members, real-world case studies, and great placement support. It needs improvements in more industry-specific workshops. The campus is vibrant with events, good connectivity, and scholarships.

the worst college for foreign students and best college for Bengal students.
Placements: About 70% students were placed in Jadavpur University. Average package is 10-12 Lacs per annum. Maximum Bengal were placed in Jadavpur University. Many and many of the companies visited the Jadavpur University and most of the students settled down for interviews.
Infrastructure: Very Bad condition of hostel and college. I will ont suggest any student to take admission in this college. Recently, there is a suicide case happened in the hostel of Jadavpur University. Not a safe area for the other state wards. So, think 10-20 time to take their admission.
Faculty: Teacher didn't help other state students to do something great. They only motivate their own state students. They even can't listen any saying of other state students. If you didn't believe my words you can visit the college. And saw the condition of the college.
