Review of Jadavpur University Kolkata.
Placements: Approximately 90% of students secured positions in various IT firms. The highest salary package reached 49 LPA from Amazon, with an average of 8 LPA. Key recruiters included Amazon, Media.net, Tata Digital, JP Morgan, and Aditya Birla. Roles offered were software developer, data scientist, and senior analyst.
Infrastructure: The campus and hostel provide 24/7 free Wi-Fi. Hostel rates are Rs. 2500 per month, and the food is excellent. With seven canteens on campus, the food quality is commendable, contributing positively to student life. Medical facilities are also available 24/7.
Faculty: The curriculum is industry-relevant, and faculty members are extremely supportive. Their teaching quality is high, but semester exams are tough, with 3–4 exams each term. The syllabus is designed to be applicable to future careers. Semester exams are at a moderate level.

The department and the professors are excellent.
Placements: There is no compulsory placement system in the Arts faculty, although we do have a Placement Cell, and through that one can easily get information and be notified about placements. Most of the students go on to higher studies. Our department offers integrated courses, so if you are planning for higher studies in history, I would definitely suggest you join us.
Infrastructure: The Department of History is really outstanding. The professors and their way of teaching are really appreciable. Each department has its own departmental library, other than that, we have a Central Library, where one can find books for their courses. Students from a poor economic background get the hostels first. The hostel rooms and buildings are great. Hostel food is below average.
Faculty: The professors are really helpful, student-friendly, and exceptionally good in their jobs. Any student can contact their professors whenever they face any kind of problems with their studies. After understanding the topics properly, the questions do not seem to be difficult.

B.E. in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (Day) - Batch of 2027

Jadavpur University has the best ROI.
Placements: The 2022 and 2023 batches were some of the best in our department; the highest package crossed 1cr+. This year, due to recession, the placements are off; the average package is about 17–19 LPA. Many students got admission in US-based universities for higher studies like PhDs, etc.
Infrastructure: Our campus offers free Wi-Fi, and the labs and classrooms are hi-tech and digitalized. The central library of our college is very huge and comprises thousands of books and journals. The hostel is a bit old and it needs some maintenance and good food quality.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful; they teach in the best possible manner so that every student can understand each and every concept and can implement it in their day-to-day lives. At the end of our course, as the syllabus is well designed, every student is industry-adapted. It helps us very much.
Other: The electronics and telecommunications sector is a growing sector nowadays. 5G & 6G are revolutionary. This entertains me most. Also, our faculty professors worked with ISRO, DRDO and many more famous organizations, which motivated us to do so.
