Dibrugarh University offers various scholarships to its meritorious students. Dibrugarh University is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education AICTE), NCT, and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities. The university has 177 affiliated institutes and colleges, spread across nine districts of Assam and 17 departments. Moreover, according to the NIRF report 2023, a total of 61 out of 170 BTech students were placed and the median package offered was INR 4 LPA during placement 2022.

Dibrugarh University is a state-level public university established in 1965. The University is recognised by UGC and approved by AICTE and NCTE. In addition to this, Dibrugarh University Distance Education offers courses in PG programmes in Assamese, Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, and Bachelor's in Computer Application and Arts, among others.
