Best college for nature lovers.
Placements: It does not provide many placements. Placements are rare after completing the master’s degree, except for an MBA in Agribusiness Management. However, it provides enough knowledge and skills for government exams and agricultural entrepreneurship. Basically, one should not keep any hope of placements from here after B.Sc.
Infrastructure: Courses are nicely designed according to the New Education Policy. They provide enough knowledge, skills, and experience in horticulture. From smart classes to fieldwork, they offer good skills and experience. Hostels are okay, not very modern, but livable.
Faculty: Most faculty have completed their education at the same university, so they are very familiar with university life. All teachers and staff are well-trained and has good behavior. Exams are conducted twice each semester, and there is low pressure to study.

Our college is wonderful and mesmerising.
Placements: Placements are not offered for an undergraduate students. In 2021, the median salary offered was 4.7 LPA, which dropped by 2% in 2020, while increased by 4.3% in 2019.
Infrastructure: Hostels are well-equipped with all modern facilities like a reading room, TV room, and common room with facilities for various indoor games. Aqua guards, water coolers, and refrigerators are provided in the hostels. Students welfare officer is in-charge of the hostels and is assisted by the hostel wardens. Every hostel has a chief and floor prefects, sports secretary, common room secretary, and mess in-charge to manage the day-to-day activities under the supervision of wardens. A hostel attendant in every hostel is responsible for the hostel record maintenance, student attendance, mess bill collection, and watch & ward activities.
Faculty: It is mandate to provide teaching facilities in horticulture, forestry, and allied sciences under the mountain perspective of Himachal Pradesh. University follows course credit system of students education under bifurcation of the annual academic session into two semesters. Each semester is spread over 19 weeks along with short duration semester breaks of six weeks each. During semester breaks educational tours and field training are organised to expose students to the different farming situations.

I am dissatisfied with faculty members, curriculum etc. Friends are the only support system.
Placements: Our college provides low placements. It has a wonderful natural environment but not the same in the case of studies. Involvement of politics in the education stream has lowered the standards of education, Introduction of courses has narrowed the education quality, and the knowledge is confined to these offered courses.
Infrastructure: Old hostels are great, but the new ones are just extended cubicles. Monkeys enter the hostel, and there are leaking ceilings, acoustic ceilings which raises a question on one's privacy. Overall a below-average experience. It's impossible to study in hostels. One may do anything except to study.
Faculty: Teachers of our college are mostly awful, except a few. Course curriculum in worthless since there are almost no placements and some subjects are just pointless and wastage of time. Teachers are more into political discussions. Students are acquainted with more of theoretical knowledge rather than practical part.
Other: I opted this course because I am from a horticulture background. I wanted to enhance my knowledge in this field regarding various techniques and production technologies available.

The college placements are average but better opportunities after PG courses.
Placements: The students of this course mainly focus on government jobs, but the post-graduation required only before professional jobs. The highest salary offered is Rs. 1,50,000 per month, the lowest salary offered is Rs. 20,000 per month and the average salary offered is Rs. 25,000 per month. Food and fruits related companies are top recruiting companies. Top roles offered are agricultural officer, horticultural officer, food inspector, etc. The internship offered is more like industrial training of 1 year to students.
Infrastructure: The college provided all proper facilities with proper equipment. There are appropriate classrooms available in the college, and there is a good playground in the college. The college has a good infrastructure. There is an average hostel. The food provided is average. There is a medical area in the college. The college provided good sports and games facilities. Overall the college is good for the mental and physical growth of students.
Faculty: All the professors here are PhD level of their field of command with proper research and development records. Teaching quality of teachers is good, but students have to study more by themselves. The course curriculum is not relevant, which is the reason PG courses are almost like compulsory to study only B.Sc., and it doesn't make students industry-ready.
Other: I choose this course because it is a different course. It gives knowledge of food and fruits around us and to grow them. The course should be more practical based. The college conducts many cultural, youth, festival, sports, etc. events throughout the semester.

Placement should be made available for general MBA students also and not only for horti students.
Placements: Only 5per cent of seniors and students of our batch were placed, the highest salary offered was 3lacs. Mostly marketing companies visited the campus and sales roles were offered to students. University is good only for agri students and not MBA general students.
Infrastructure: University campus includes all facilities like wi-fi, library, dispensry, sports complex, classrooms. Foods available in canteen and hostel mess is also of tasty and hygienic. Hostel rooms are clean and spacious especially NRI hostels. I never had any issues related to the infrastructure.
Faculty: Teachers were highly qualified and helpful in every aspect. Teaching methods were also quite helpful. We were also provided industry exposure during our summer internship, one month of internship helped us to gain a lot of knowledge related to banking.
Other: More emphasis is given to studies and non extracurricular activities.

This university is Full fledged package of facilities and exposure specially field work, .
Placements: Everyone is well settled and enjoying there life, students are packed with full fledged knowledge, so Are easily placed in different companies. Many students have staretd their entrepreneurs and thus are job providers rather than job seekers. They are getting handsome salaries, they are paid according to what they are doing.
Infrastructure: University Campus is full fledged package of all the necessary things. Full Wi-Fi, but in horticulture university all that matter is lab and fields, college has well established proper fields with hitech farms, hydroponics and different projects are running, which itself provoke the university level of providing facilities Canteens offer quality food with multiple choices of healthy food. Hostels are good with proper cleanliness. And good quality food in hostel mess. I don't feel any issue related to infrastructure, but it is still growing.
Faculty: Teaching staff of the college are well qualified and well experienced with good quality teaching skills. Every ten students has 1 teacher to attend. Yes, I get induatry experience, while our educational tour to different industries and commercial farms. Course curriculum is good enough but still it requires some modificarions.
Other: College organize different fest, annual functions, national and international symposium, Ncc and Nss camps, sports and cultural activities time to time.
