 Dr.Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry admission is based on the in-house entrance exam for the normal seats and merit-based for the self-finance seats. The documents required for BSc admission at Dr. YSP University are as follows:

• Class 12 detail of marks certificate
• Character certificate
• HP domicile certificate
• Medical fitness certificate
• Declaration of non-use of illicit Drugs (as per annexure-V)
• The following certificates (wherever applicable)

-Rural Area (As per format annexed as annexure-II)

-SC/ ST/EWS etc.

-OBC (Non-creamy Layer) certificate.

-Wards of serving/ ex-defence personnel.

-Wards of serving/ retired CAPFs personnel.

Candidate must bring copies of self-attested certificates at the time of admission as well as registration alongwith original certificates.

Dr. YSP University conducts entrance exams for admission to the regular seats, which is applicable only for the Himachal Pradesh's domicile candidates. As for the self-finance seats, entrance exam is not required. Candidates only requires a valid qualification i.e., Class 12 with 50% aggregate in English, Chemistry, Biology, etc., from a recognised university.
