To be eligible for admission to the MBA programme at Fakir Mohan University (FMU), you must meet the following criteria:
Academic qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree: A Bachelor's degree in any discipline, under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 pattern, from a recognised university.
- Minimum marks:
- General and OBC candidates: Minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination.

Entrance exam:
- Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE): All applicants must qualify for the OJEE, a state-level entrance exam conducted by the Government of Odisha.
- Alternative exam scores: Candidates with a score of 75 percentile or above in CAT/MAT/GMAT/XAT are exempted from taking the OJEE and can directly proceed to the further selection process.
Selection process:
- Shortlisting: Based on the OJEE scores (or alternative exam scores), a shortlist of candidates will be prepared for the further selection process.
- Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI): Shortlisted candidates will be called for a GD and PI to assess their communication skills, personality, suitability for the program, and motivation.
- Merit list: A final merit list will be prepared based on the combined weightage of OJEE scores (or alternative exam scores), GD performance, and PI performance. Selected candidates will be offered admission based on their rank in the merit list.
