B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2026

Good placement in the year 2026.
Placements: In my college, only 70% of students got placed. The highest package is 55 LPA, and the lowest is 3.2 LPA. Infosys, Cognizant, TCS, and LTM are top recruitment companies. 10 to 15% of students got internships in companies like JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Flipkart, Amazon, De Shaw, etc. Top role offered is SDE.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available on campus, LTs have AC, and the library is big. Food quality is decent in hostels. Facilities in the hostel are really good, but the wardens are not good. The mess and canteen are clean. There are sports available and games also on campus. Overall, good infrastructure.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful, some are not, and they are knowledgeable, the quality of teaching is medium. This course is relevant, not fully ready, but it makes students ready at baseline. Semester exams are really difficult. Teachers are good if we ask them something.
Other: I chose it because I have an interest in coding. Creating new things is the best thing about my course. Grafest is the big event held in our college.

Mediocre college life with extraordinary opportunities.
Placements: A large percentage of students get placed. The average package is around 5–6 LPA. The highest package is around 69 LPA for the year 2026. Some of the top recruiters are D.E. Shaw, Atlassian, Amazon, Morgan Stanley, and Visa. Mass recruiters include TCS, Infosys, LTI Mindtree, Tech Mahindra, and others.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi zones are very limited. Library is much smaller than what a university is expected to have. Classrooms are decent enough. Since the campus is very small. Sports facilities are also below average. Hostels are good enough. Along with spacious rooms and options for AC and non-AC.
Faculty: Teachers in CSE are mediocre at best. Most of them are graduates of Graphic Era University itself and join university as faculty right after graduation. The curriculum is also obsolete, just as in the majority of Indian technical institutions. It does not make students industry-ready. The pass percentage of semester exams is high enough.
Other: The one and only advantage of this university, and that too only for CSE students, is the kind of recruiters they bring in, such as Amazon, Microsoft, Morgan Stanley, Visa, D.E. Shaw, and a few more. University provides great opportunities if students are willing to work for them. Celebrity fests are conducted every year either in April or May. There is also a student fest occurring around October. University campus is smaller than what most schools have, which makes campus life very poor. Extracurricular activities are below average as well.

Absolutely satisfied with the investment I have given in this college.
Placements: Around 70 percent of students were placed. The highest package was 12 LPA, and the lowest was 4 LPA. Infosys and Deloitte were the top recruiters. Development roles were offered.
Infrastructure: It was an amazing infrastructure with good facilities and hostels.
Faculty: Faculty was very supportive and helpful. It was a place that helped me a lot in learning and personal growth. I had good exposure and helpful faculty.
Other: Grafest was one of the best fests I have ever seen. It was an amazing experience with a supportive faculty. It was one of the best phases of my life, with a friendly environment. It was a balanced experience of studies, friendships, and growth. The college taught me a lot about life experiences. It had a campus life where I learned a lot. It was a journey full of learning. From being a nervous fresher to becoming a confident person. This place changed me a lot. It was not just about classes but about becoming better.

Think before opting for the Hill Campus.
Placements: If you are from a non it background, the placements are pretty bad. The average salary offered to BBA graduates was Rs. 2000 - Rs. 25,000, which is quite less for a college so reputed. Not all the students got placed. Some got placed and got scammed when they were told that after certain months, they had to reapply for the jobs, my friends being one of them.
Infrastructure: There was just one building that was divided into departments on each floor, which used to make the building very crowded. The hostel was fine, but there were really strict rules. There was also a uniform rule, if not followed, then you were not allowed in the college, considering small misses like wing shoes or a missing tie.
Faculty: There used to be competitions held with certain programs where students were made to participate. The faculty was overall very professional. The way they treated students was really weird, one of my professors did not even know the difference between their and there. Professors were hired while they were pursuing Ph.D. in the same college.
Other: The events used to take place in the deemed campus, therefore, it was good to be a part of that, otherwise, no such things were held by the hill campus. Only functions like freshers or farewell were held.

Detailed review of Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun.
Placements: In my college almost 60 to 70 percent of students get placement from companies like Amazon, TCS, Wipro, etc. The highest package of our college is 84.4 LPA and the average package of our college is 3 LPA. Almost 40 percent of students got internships from college. The top roles offered are software trainee.
Infrastructure: The university has every facility that a university should have. Our university has top-notch infrastructure, including computer labs, a microprocessor lab, and a civil and mechanical lab. Labs have a powerful computer. Facilities of the hostel are based on room prices.
Faculty: Almost all teachers are helpful and Ph.D holders. They are working as professors. They are knowledgeable and qualified to teach the course curriculum. There are lots of subjects that are irrelevant and useless but some subjects are very important for students to be industry-ready.

I would say it is a good college, a bit more strict in exam criteria, & it lacks interaction.
Placements: The top roles offered on campus are for a few students, some through internships, PPOs, and some through direct end placement from many big MNCs like DeShaw, Morgan Stanley, Amazon, etc. The percentage of students who got internships till now is less than 10 percent, like 3-4 percent. The highest in campus placement is 54 LPA+, the lowest is 3.5 LPA, and the average is 5-6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS and Infosys.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for your course/department are okayish, like good. There are some labs, classrooms and a library, but not up to the mark in a few labs. The quality of the facility in the hostel is good, and so is the food. Sports and games facility is okayish.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, knowledgeable and qualified, but they do lack in the interaction zone as they do not grab the attention of the student to study and get bored in long lectures, except for a few. My course curriculum is relevant except for a few subjects.
Other: I chose the course for placements. The campus crowd is good. I can easily connect with the faculty if I want to. Surroundings are good as everything is easily accessible. Scholarship is also available. They do organise a lot of extracurricular activities as well.
