The university accepts Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) scores conducted by the consortium of National Law Universities for shortlisting candidates to its UG and PG law programmes. Students must also complete the course eligibility as mentioned here:
- For UG courses students must pass Class 10 and 12 with a minimum aggregate of 45% (40% for SC/ST)
- While for PG courses students must graduate with an LLB degree or equivalent Law programme from a recognised university and have a minimum aggregate of 50% (45% for SC/ST)

GNLU Gandhinagar Placements 2026
According to recent media reports, the 2026 placements at GNLU Gandhinagar currently has over 40 PPOs made by recruiters.
While the 2025 batch had 77 offers made on the first day of placements with a total of 90 students participating in placements, 50 of which were shortlisted for interviews while 29 students were placed in reputable companies such as Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co., Trilegal, Khaitan & Co., IndusLaw, Argus Partners, etc.

GNLU Gandhinagar LLM cutoff 2026 released has been released across different categories under the AI and HS quotas. For the students belonging to the OBC category, the CLAT first round closing rank for LLM admission is 1212 in the AI quota. GNLU offers multiple specialisations under its LLM course.

GNLU Gandhinagar BA LLB (Hons) admissions in 2026 are currently open. The admission of candidates is done during the CLAT-UG counseling whose result announcement has been postponed at this point.
The release date for the merit list is yet to be announced.
