IIT Bombay BDes Eligibility & Highlights 2025
IIT Bombay offers BDes or Bachelor of Design through IDC School of Design at the UG level. It is a four-year programme spread across eight semesters. It also offers five-year integrated BDes + MDes programme spread across 10 semesters. The option of doing a dual degree will be available at the end of third year.

Age Limit: Candidates should have been born on or after Oct 1, 1999., if belonging to Open/ EWS/ OBC-NCL Category and on or after October 1, 1994, if belonging to SC, ST or PwD Category.
UCEED Qualification: Aspirants should have obtained a rank in UCEED. A candidate can attempt UCEED a maximum of two times, and that too in consecutive years. UCEED score is valid for one year and only for admissions in the same corresponding academic year.
Qualifying examination: Candidates need to pass all five subjects in Class 12 or equivalent. Those who have appeared for the first time in the qualifying exam in 2022 or earlier are not eligible.

The selected students have to register for counselling with a non-refundable application fee of INR 4,000. They have to provide their institute order preference. Both IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay are top choices for students wishing to pursue BTech. The NIRF rank of both the colleges are neck to neck. In NIRF 2025 rankings, IIT Delhi was ranked 2 whereas IIT Bombay was at 3 under Engineering category. BTech cutoffs of both the institutes are equally competitive.
