Candidates planning to appear in the UCEED 2025 exam must make sure they solve enough sample questions to prepare for the exam. By solving sample papers, the candidate will be able to improve problem-solving and time-management skills.

IIT Bombay will conduct the UCEED 2025 exam on January 19, 2025. The exam has two parts - Part A and Part B. Candidates must appear in both parts. Also, Part B answers booklets of only such candidates will be evaluated who qualifies Part A. Also, all candidates who qualify Part A will be shortlisted, allocated a merit rank, and can participate in the UCEED 2025 counseling and seat allotment process.  IIT Bombay revised the UCEED 2025 syllabus and the UCEED 2025 exam pattern in the previous edition of the exam. So, when preparing for the exam, make sure that you follow the updated pattern and syllabus.

Where can I get sample papers for UCEED 2025 

The official admission portal of UCEED 2025 has previous question papers for the exam. The candidate can download the question papers and practice them. The question papers will give the candidate an idea about the types of questions asked, the marking scheme, weightage, etc.

Meanwhile, sample papers or question booklets can be purchased online from e-commerce portals like Amazon. The UCEED sample paper in these cases are typically drafted by experts and published by leading publishers. 

The candidate can use these sample papers to prepare for the UCEED 2025 exam.

Q:   Can I download previous years UCEED question papers along with answer keys for practice?
A:
IIT Bombay releases the question papers for the UCEED exam along with the answer keys. The question papers for UCEED 2024 exam will be released within a day or two of the conduct of the UCEED 2024 exam. Further, the UCEED admission portal has question banks starting from 2015 to 2023 that candidates can download for free. The corresponding answer keys are also available. To download a sample paper, the candidate simply needs to click on the corresponding question paper; no log-in is required. Alternately, the candidate can download previous years question papers from this page.
Q:   What types of questions will be asked in Section 1 of UCEED 2025 question paper?
A:

Section 1 of the UCEED question paper 2025 will include NAT (Numerical Answer Type). There will be a total of 18 questions, each carrying 4 marks. There is no negative marking for an incorrect attempt. For NAT-type questions, the answer will be a number that the candidate needs to be entered using a virtual keyboard in the computer screen. Note that the candidate will not be given any choices for these questions.

Q:   What types of questions will be asked in Section 2 of UCEED 2025 question paper?
A:

The UCEED 2025 question paper for Part A will include three sections. It will include 28 Multiple Select Questions (MSQs). Each MSQ may have one or more than one correct choice (s) out of the four given. The following marking scheme will be followed for MSQ-type questions: Full Marks: + 4 If only (all) the correct option (s) is (are) chosen and None of the incorrect options is chosen. Partial Marks: + 3 If all the four options are correct but ONLY three options are chosen and None of the incorrect options is chosen. Partial Marks: + 2 If three or more options are correct but ONLY two options are chosen, both of which are correct and None of the incorrect options is chosen. Partial Marks: + 1 If two or more options are correct but ONLY one option is chosen and it is a correct option and None of the incorrect options is chosen. Zero Marks: 0 If None of the options is chosen (I. e., the question is unanswered). Negative Marks: -1 In all other cases.

Q:   What is the difference between UCEED 2025 mock tests and sample papers?
A:

Mock tests are meant to be taken in the last few weeks leading up to the exam. Note that mock tests are not meant to help candidates master their problem-solving or even time-management skills. In fact, mock tests are held so that the candidate gets an exam like ambience and learn how to navigate the online exam. The candidate will also be able to fix silly or common errors by taking the mock test.

Sampe papers are on the other hand can be considered one of the major bacbones of the UCEED 2024 exam preparation process. By taking enough mock tests, the candidate will be able to develop one’s problem-solving and time-management abilities.

Q:   What key points do candidates need to remember about UCEED 2025 Part B question paper?
A:

The candidate needs to remember the following points about Part B question paper of UCEED 2025: Part-B will now include only TWO questions The question for the section will shown on the computer monitor. The candidate after reading the question has to write/ draw the answer option in the answer booklet provided by the invigilator. Part B test will evaluate the drawing ability and Design Aptitude of the candidate. Part B is mandatory and will only be evaluated if the candidate qualifies Part A. The cut-off marks for Part A will be declared by IIT Bombay before declaration of results.

Q:   What types of questions will be asked in UCEED 2025?
A:

The UCEED exam will have two parts - Part A and Part B. Part A will include Numerical Answer Type NAT Multiple Select Question (MSQ), Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Meanwhile, Part B will include drawing and aptitude-based questions. Note that in the previous edition of the exam, Part B include only sketching-based question. So, starting UCEED 2024, the candidate also needs to prepare for aptitude based questions that will be asked in Part B. Questions for the aptitude section will evaluate the ability of the candidate to practically and appropriately respond to problems/situations with ingenuity and empathy.

Q:   What do I need to know about the UCEED 2025 question paper?
A:

The UCEED question paper will be of 3 hours and include two parts - The computer-based Part A and the offline-based Part B. It is mandatory for candidates to appear in both the paper. 

Also, Part B paper answer booklets will only be evaluated if the candidate qualifies Part A. IIT Bombay will release the cut-off marks for Part A before the declaration of results. 

Part A will include the following types of questions: Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Multiple Select Question (MSQ) Multiple Choice Question (MCQ). Part A will now include 57 questions.

Meanwhile, Part B will include 2 questions; this includes a sketching-based and an aptitide-based question.

Q:   Are mock tests the same as UCEED sample papers?
A:
No, mock tests are not the same as UCEED question or sample papers. To begin with, mock tests are taken in the last few weeks leading up to the exam. Meanwhile, sample papers can be solved much earlier on in ones exam preparation. Also, sample papers are usually available in downloadable pdf format. The candidate can therefore download the sample papers and solve them at any time they want. However, mock tests are available in a fixed, and rigid format. For instance, you may need to log-in to take the mock test, and there will also be a timer counting time.

Q. When will the UCEED 2025 exam be conducted?

A. The candidate can start solving sample and previous years' question papers of UCEED very early in their exam preparation. For instance, after completing a chapter, the candiadate may solve questions related to that topic.
