The honest & unbiased review on Pearl Academy.

Placements: The college is in Mumbai it is the biggest advantage for many fashion brands and big fashion events and most importantly, Bollywood is located in Mumbai. College has a lot of contacts with designers and fashion brands, but firstly, we need to work under well-known fashion designers Masaba Gupta, Rutu Bosle, Anita Dongre, and Agarwal for at least 2 months. But I feel regret after doing this degree, spending 20 lacs on it, and now getting a job with a 2-3 lacs package. If you are placed in a good package, within the month you get laid off because they don't have money to pay you. NIFT is much better in terms of placement.

Infrastructure: Our institute has tree recreational rooms for indoor activities between our hectic daily schedule. In addition to medical services, there is a canteen and a stationary facility. We are part of various fashion social media groups. Labs, stitching, and all other facilities are available. Yes, I opted for a for a hostel because I belong to another state, rooms are given on a first-come, first-served basis, facilities and amenities are good, and all basic facilities are available. No, we do not have any sports. Our schedule is very hectic, and we do not have much time to play sports.

Faculty: Pearl is a good institute; teachers are good; it is required to work very hard, which is not a bad thing; the other thing is that it has a lot of nepotism; in one semester, work loads are unbeatable. It is extremely hard to develop all skills. Stitching, pattern making, and fashion illusions, if possible, try to learn them before joining. Keep consistent in class and have good grades in the teacher's books. Projects and assignments are very important because they have high marks.

Other: I want to go for NIFT but because of my lower marks, I will not get admission there so I will join Pearl Academy. The things I wish would improve it are not in my hands but mostly covered in my review.

Our college's faculty members are very supportive of students.

Placements: The placement committee at our college is a dedicated team, and they provide placements to all the students, depending on different skill sets. Many top fashion design firms visit here like Myntra, Fab India, H&M, Zara and many others. They have more than a 95% of track record in placements, and I am eager to get the opportunities they offer in my final year.

Infrastructure: Labs and classrooms are spacious and give comfortable spaces for students to do their work. The Wi-Fi is on every floor and has decent connectivity overall, with set limitations for certain websites. It is more than enough for college work. The canteen is on the ground floor and has a huge selection of different varieties of food.

Faculty: Faculty members are very supportive and nurturing to the batch. They have great industry experience too, and they help students with their project work actively with mentoring sessions as well. They also organise masterclasses that help students in different industry-related topics like team frameworks, creativity enhancement, etc.

I am very happy and glad to be a student of Pearl.

Placements: The college offers 99% guaranteed placements. It has big companies offering many good jobs. The faculty in Pearl train us on how to give interviews beforehand so that the entire process goes smoothly. Companies and labels like AnD (Anita Dongre), Walt Disney, Dharma Productions, etc., are among the companies who hire the students of Pearl.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are pretty good. The campus is equipped with everything that a student studying there may need. The hostel is good too. It is located near campus at a walkable distance of just 10 minutes. It is equipped with house cleaning facilities as well as a microwave, Wi-Fi, fridge, etc., that we may need in our daily life.

Faculty: The teachers are the best thing about Pearl. They teach in detail and with sensitivity so that every single topic, no matter how hard it is, can be understood. I joined Pearl at the time where studying in online mode was only available, and there was a lot of uncertainty as to how we may be able to learn this practical course online, but so far, the way the faculty members have handled us with all the explanations and practical demos, it is safe to say that this academy has the best faculty members.

It has good faculty members, good infrastructure and labs with the latest technology.

Placements: There is a placement committee here. Top recruiters here are various design firms like Myntra, Amazon, Reliance, H&M, etc. For more guidance, students can also be in contact with the placements committee. The management also helps students with the international exchange programme during the last year of the course.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the campus gives a very calm vibe. There are labs for every division like computer labs with all the latest MAC devices, a Sewing lab, PMGC lab, photo studio, a makeup lab and various others, apart from the classrooms. The college also has hostel facilities nearby. If there are no vacancies in it, then the management helps in any way they can to accommodate students in a safe and secure environment.

Faculty: The teaching methodology and the faculty members are very helpful here. There are module guides to students which help them keep a time check of the assignments and various other information. Faculty members even arrange master classes with various industry-related mentors to give us an understanding of how things work inside the industry. Sometimes there are even industry visits.

Other: Apart from studies, a Pearl Utsav is also organised. There are many groups on the campus like Digital Ninjas, Rotaract club, Plan Clan, etc., which organise different activities during teacher's day, Diwali, Holi and on any occasion, you could think of.

A fashion and design pearl.

Placements: Still studying. But 95+ placements are guaranteed by the academy. Aditya Birla, amazon are top recruiters. There is a compulsory internship which mostly the entire batch got in different companies in India and abroad. They were very happy and even got the jobs further in those particular companies.

Infrastructure: Very well maintained classrooms and labs. There are two labs of imacs and windows. Hostel facility was not good as there was no proper system and place for it. But gradually it has been very amazing and even food quality improved after complaining to authorities.

Faculty: Teachers are very helping and try to build a design atmosphere around us. Yes, the course is relevant. It teaches not just about the course but designing itself. But surely does need a little more to the point things to be taught in our particular field.

Other: This gives more practicality of the course which is the most important. A little more to the point knowledge and specific topic relevance is to be provided. There are a lot of extra curricular activities and industry exposure provided.
