It's Jadavpur University.
Placements: The placement of this campus was so good that many students tried to get enrolled on this college by not choosing the IITs. The brand value of this campus was very high all over India. The average package varied between 8 LPA and 15 LPA. The highest package can go above 15 LPA if you try to go for non-core roles. Most roles offered were either production engineer or marketing engineer.
Infrastructure: Buildings of this campus were the backlogs of the overall campus. The buildings were old, and the benches were not very comfortable. The Wi-Fi was available at a decent speed and slow in some far places from the buildings. The library was a bit dusty. The hostel buildings were not so well furnished because they have become old.
Faculty: Faculty members here were highly knowledgeable people you've ever known. All teachers were research-active members. All faculty members' teaching quality was excellent. The course curriculum was the best in the state. Semester exams were very helpful and always interesting for all. The pass percentage was above 90%.
Other: The campus was the best in Kolkata, and you would have a better future here.

I had a 5-star experience at the cheapest college in India, Jadavpur University, for Civil Engineeri
Placements: Internships are not widely available for all applicants, but the placement rate of the civil branch at JU is 80-90 percent. Top core recruiters are L&T Construction, Tata, ITD Cementation, Afcon Infrastructure, and other similar companies. It offers roles like site engineer, design engineer, and structural engineer. The average package offered ranges from 5-6 LPA. The highest package offered is 12 LPA in the 2021 recruitment. From a placement perspective, it's a tier 1 college with an NIRF ranking of top 100 in India. In our batch, 10 percent of students got internships from local construction companies. The college does not provide attendance for more than 2 months of internships.
Infrastructure: I'm literally quite shocked when I saw such facilities at a very low fee. The whole campus has Wi-Fi connectivity. For the civil branch, there are 10 advanced labs, such as geotechnical, remote sensing, computational, concrete, and material. Other labs are also available. Classrooms are not so good, like they are without AC. There is a departmental library, which contains more resources than we expected. Hostel mess is run by a student committee, and charges are very low, like Rs. 1,500 per month with decent food. Several canteens and 1 medical facility block are available inside the campus. Buildings are well-managed.
Faculty: Professors expect results from students like an IIT student. They set the paper too hard, like the GATE exam, and that's why in the civil branch, a significant number of students had paper back in most subjects. All teachers are from IITs. The pass percentage in a semester is around 60 percent. Both theory and practical subjects make students industry-ready, such as transportation engineering, surveying, etc. Except that we can come to this university through the WBJEE exam. If students are from the middle class, then it is for them. Industrial visits are scheduled by the civil department to the nearby cement factory to understand the working and production process with a smooth hand.

It is a good university.
Placements: I'm a student of international relations at the university, so the department provides an excellent exposure and brilliant offerings of educational culture. There are no such typical placements. As a student of arts and international relations, there are no such placements.
Infrastructure: As a state public university, there is no high-tech or luxury infrastructure, but a sustainable one, with high-quality academics and quality and vintage classrooms. There is a free Wi-Fi facility all over campus. We get an average food quality in the canteen. Sports and games are diverse. The library contains the best materials.
Faculty: Jadavpur University comprises an excellent quality of educators and professors. All of them are excellently qualified. They are the educators of this prestigious institution. Semester exams contain quality, and the faculty provides an overview of all theories and critical thinking.
Other: This course is a very famous course all over the country, so I chose it. Jadavpur University is the oldest institution in India to provide courses in international relations, and this course provides a diverse political knowledge and knowledge in international relations and world politics. So this is one of the best courses for humanities students. Jadavpur University is the best institution that provides this course at the bachelor's level. The annual fest of Sanskriti is the largest college fest in West Bengal.

Jadavpur University has a legacy of more than a century.
Placements: Placements in the department are among the best in the state and region after IIT KGP. Usually, the average placement percentage for interested students stays above 85–90%, which is good considering this is a core department. The average package in recent years is around 7–11 LPA and varies greatly depending on peer quality. Core packages include most chemical engineering core companies like Vedanta, pharmaceutical companies, Exide, and others, along with PSUs and various other firms. On average, core packages are around 6–9 LPA. Some companies offer 12+ LPA, and PSU salaries are higher. Non-core packages are around 10–14 LPA.
Infrastructure: The department is well-equipped with all kinds of labs and necessary teaching resources. As I am not very familiar with the facilities offered by IITs and NITs, I would rate mine as 4/5. This department was the first in Asia and receives a lot of funds and grants from alumni and organizations. You will learn a lot if you join JU Chemical. About the hostels, UG1 hostels are well-maintained and good. Wi-Fi is available, and rooms are big enough for 2–3 people. As I am not a hosteller, this is all I can share.
Faculty: Faculty members are a mixed bag. Some are fantastic, some are okay, and some are not very good. They are all highly qualified in their fields, with degrees from IITs, foreign universities, and most are Ph.D. holders with published research work. The course curriculum is almost as good as that of the older IITs, and I can vouch for that. You will gain the required knowledge and industry exposure when you actually work in the field. Semester exams can be rated as moderately difficult to difficult in some cases, which is very subjective.
Other: I chose this because it was my best option for my rank (GMR-1379, General) and because I was flexible about the course, it does not bother me. I am genuinely interested in learning chemical engineering. About the fests and campus life, it is probably one of the best in the region and certainly in the state. The culture is very vibrant, and many events take place regularly around the campus. As long as you keep working hard, you can enjoy life here, land a good job, and get into quality research according to your calibre. JU is a very good university.

Review of J.D Birla Institute (JDBI).
Placements: I’m just a fresher in my college, so I really don’t know about the placements, but I’ve heard the placements are pretty good and the internship process is very detailed. It’s made compulsory for us to have an internship in the third year of college, and it’s a part of the course itself.
Infrastructure: We have good classrooms, a canteen, labs, a library, and even the college is undergoing renovation, providing us with greater facilities and a more comfortable infrastructure. We have AC classrooms and comfortable seating arrangements. The canteen food is good, and the library has a vast range of books with borrowing facilities.
Faculty: The curriculum is really good in my college, with the detailed academic calendar being provided beforehand, and the faculty is really helpful with everything. What we need, what we want, and our issues are heard here. The semester exams are a mix of everything, being easy to difficult, making it a good exam for all types of students. The exam papers are exactly like what we’re prepared for.
Other: I chose B.Com as a course and specifically in JDBI because it? S a well known college and it? S been ranked in a good position I want to pursue a professional degree and B.Com course here in this college provides flexible timings being a morning batch making it very easy for students like us .
