College with the best return on investment.

Placements: The exact details for placement drive for 2025 batch are yet to be released. For 2024, the median and average were near 20 LPA, with almost every top company coming for on-campus placement. This year (2025), the placement drive has been immensely successful. Placement percentage is over 90%, with the highest package being as high as 1.4 crore offered by Rubrik. Top companies like Google, Oracle, Sprinklr, and DE Shaw offered full-time roles. Many banking companies like Wells Fargo, ICICI Bank, and Deutsche also visit the campus for full-time roles. On-campus internship drive also takes place.

Infrastructure: Being a state university, the institute is heavily underfunded. As a result, the infrastructure is not upto the mark in comparison to IITs and NITs. Though a good amount of research does take place. Hostel specifically is not of great quality, but that is justified by its ultra-cheap rent of Rs 30 per month.

Faculty: Faculty members are well qualified. Some of them have multiple PhDs. Teaching quality is fair enough, though it varies from teacher to teacher. The course curriculum is restructured starting from the 2025-2029 batch to meet the industry standards and make it relevant. The questions in semester exams are easier in comparison to IITs, but are much lengthier. Exams are of 100 marks with a time limit of 3 hours.

Other: Events are great and something or the other is always happening around on the campus with so many clubs and societies. Being a university, Arts and Science faculty students are also present thus diversifying the crowd.

Overall, a great college with the best return on investment, one can get with good placements.

Placements: More than 90% of the students are placed this year. The highest package is 1.4 crores offered by Rubrik, and several other high packages are offered by companies like DE & Shaw and Google. Internships secured are also good, with a major percentage of the students being placed.

Infrastructure: Labs are well-maintained and have the necessary facilities for the course. From 2025 onwards, a new syllabus is being introduced which removes irrelevant courses in the first year that have been a part of the course for many years, replacing them with necessary subjects.

Faculty: Professors are highly qualified, with most of them having high research indices indicating their great knowledge. Most of them have completed their PhDs and postdocs from reputed colleges. The course's new curriculum is highly relevant and makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are not an ordeal if one pays attention to the classes when they are being taught.

It is a very good college. It is the best state university in India.

Placements: Placements are very good. Top companies come every year. The highest package offered is 1.5 LPA this year, and the median salary for CSE is near 20 LPA. Companies like Google and Frank come every year and hire like 3 to 4 students from our department.

Infrastructure: The department coordinated well with the students. There is Wi-Fi available. Library is one of the biggest in the whole West Bengal. The campus is very big, and has 6 canteens where food of every range is available.

Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful and highly qualified. There are exams occuring throughout the whole semester, so students won't face much difficulty in giving exams at the end. They get prepared after giving the class tests for each subject. The course curriculum is well-received by students.

The college has very good infrastructure and resources.

Placements: I am from the 2022-2024 batch. 60% of students are placed, and the highest package is Rs. 50,000, and the lowest package is Rs. 10,000. Placements are mostly in the government and private teaching sectors. Around 50% of students get jobs from internships in schools and colleges. The top role offered by our course focuses on good teaching ability.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of our department are very good. The whole department and campus have free Wi-Fi. Classrooms, library, and computer labs are also very modern. Hostel facilities are very good, with rooms for study, food services, and a canteen available. Every sports instrument is available, with a good playground.

Faculty: Our department has very good and helpful teachers. The teaching quality is very scientific. The curriculum is also very good because our curriculum is developed by our own department teacher. Semester exams are very easy, and the passing marks are only 35%.

Other: My Course is M.A. in Education, and it is the best department in the whole of West Bengal. It is a multidisciplinary course, which is why I chose it. Jadavpur University has a very good campus with a good environment, playground, and OAT. The placement percentage is very good.

Jadavpur University food technology course summary and college life idea.

Placements: About 60% of students got placed in core companies. The highest package is 14 LPA, the lowest package is 2-3 LPA, and the average is about 5-6 LPA offered in our course. Amul, Winkies, and ITC are the top recruiting companies. A solid 80% students got internship opportunities every year.

Infrastructure: Free Wi-Fi is available on the whole campus. There are a total of 9 canteens, and each hostel has its own separate cooking area. Table tennis, cricket, and football are the most popular sports. The sports culture and fests are the most lovable part of Jadavpur University.

Faculty: Teachers are well qualified. They are helpful. Exams are tough, and lab faculty members are above average. Minimum 60% marks are required for passing the semester. Each department has its own different set of subjects with different faculty members and a different environment.

Other: This course is good, especially for those candidates who like Biology. Biology and Chemistry are the main subjects in this course. Maths and Physics are not that applicable.

Good college with good faculty, placements, and affordable education.

Placements: Placements are good. In the previous year, placements were around 88%. The schedule is too hectic, but also very rewarding and good. I recommend students to take admission in the college. Top recruiting companies that hire students from our course are HSBC, HDFC Bank, etc., banking companies.

Infrastructure: The college is good. Hostels are clean. The menu is good and cheap. It has clean labs, and toilets are provided. Medical facilities are also provided. The library is very big and good. Many books are present in the library.

Faculty: Faculty members are good and helpful. Exams are also very practical and useful for placements. The course curriculum is supported in our college. Professors are very professional and helpful towards students, and good. Semester exams are very tough.
