Absolutely satisfied with the placement. Really good infrastructure.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is always available on the campus. Labs are also well-maintained by the government. Classrooms are too good with smart classrooms. Hostels are also good with mess facilities having non-vegetarian meals daily. Medical facilities are good. We have an annual sports event U-Turn where you can play every sport you can think of.

Academically enriching with excellent research culture and strong faculty reputation.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is there. B.A. courses do not need any labs. Classrooms are good and airy. The campus is huge, so you will remember it and will miss it afterward. The cheapest hostel is probably in the whole world. Food is healthy and clean. There are 3-4 canteens within the campus. Sports like cricket and football, all facilities and pitches are there. Opposite KPC, there is a hospital for medical facilities.

The Metallurgy side of Jadavpur University.

Infrastructure: The buildings are a bit old but the renovation work is in progress. The Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. The classroom temperature is a bit lower than the outside. The campus also provides a central library for all the department students. The hostel buildings are also very old and the same renovation is going on. The canteen food is good and easy to digest.

It is good for academics and research.

Infrastructure: Classrooms do have air-conditioners, but they often fail to work. Washrooms are never clean. The science department doesn't have proper laboratory equipment. They are never updated. There is Wi-Fi, though it doesn't work for students. The library is the only great thing about the department. It has a huge collection of books and a good reading environment. There are a few canteens that are very affordable. The food might not always be that great. Medical facilities are there, but not always func...

Placements are very strong in engineering.

Infrastructure: Facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, 13 hostels, a library with over 6.4 lakh books, etc., are available in my course. Classrooms, libraries, and labs are old-fashioned. Most of them are alright. Some facilities are okay, like old-fashioned and not modern like other colleges.

I had a 5-star experience at the cheapest college in India, Jadavpur University, for Civil Engineeri

Infrastructure: I'm literally quite shocked when I saw such facilities at a very low fee. The whole campus has Wi-Fi connectivity. For the civil branch, there are 10 advanced labs, such as geotechnical, remote sensing, computational, concrete, and material. Other labs are also available. Classrooms are not so good, like they are without AC. There is a departmental library, which contains more resources than we expected. Hostel mess is run by a student committee, and charges are very low, like Rs. 1,500 per mont...

It is a good university.

Infrastructure: As a state public university, there is no high-tech or luxury infrastructure, but a sustainable one, with high-quality academics and quality and vintage classrooms. There is a free Wi-Fi facility all over campus. We get an average food quality in the canteen. Sports and games are diverse. The library contains the best materials.

Excellent college to experience true liberal college life along with proper academic progress.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure needs updation but is good. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus, and there are rich libraries in all departments. Medical facilities are within campus. There is a massive field, basketball court, and other courts for sports. There are a total of 5 canteens, all serving affordable food, and the mess is also okay. Classrooms could be better.

It has a green campus and open minds. Review of life at Jadavpur University.

Infrastructure: The college is spread over 58 acres on the main campus. JU is a green zone. It is not manicured, but it has a glass-building corporate campus like a private university. It feels like a living, breathing city with old heritage buildings, massive playgrounds, and open-air theater. Hostel food is average, but canteen food is superb.

It has low fees with an incredible placement record.

Infrastructure: Hostel fee is just Rs. 40 per month with 2 times lunch. It has the best labs, libraries, and infrastructure among state universities. It also provides free Wi-Fi connection for 24 hours. Another thing is that there are many options besides studies. So students can choose their career.

PPTs are there, and the hostel is of good quality with low fees. The hostel's food quality is good, and there are six canteens. Medical facilities are available.

Jadavpur University has a legacy of more than a century.

Infrastructure: The department is well-equipped with all kinds of labs and necessary teaching resources. As I am not very familiar with the facilities offered by IITs and NITs, I would rate mine as 4/5. This department was the first in Asia and receives a lot of funds and grants from alumni and organizations. You will learn a lot if you join JU Chemical. About the hostels, UG1 hostels are well-maintained and good. Wi-Fi is available, and rooms are big enough for 2–3 people. As I am not a hosteller, this is all ...

College with the best return on investment.

Infrastructure: Being a state university, the institute is heavily underfunded. As a result, the infrastructure is not upto the mark in comparison to IITs and NITs. Though a good amount of research does take place. Hostel specifically is not of great quality, but that is justified by its ultra-cheap rent of Rs 30 per month.

Overall, a great college with the best return on investment, one can get with good placements.

Infrastructure: Labs are well-maintained and have the necessary facilities for the course. From 2025 onwards, a new syllabus is being introduced which removes irrelevant courses in the first year that have been a part of the course for many years, replacing them with necessary subjects.
