The best college in West Bengal after IITKGP hands down.

Faculty: The teachers are the best at what they teach. All of them have a Ph.D. from abroad universities or from IIT, IISc, etc. The teachers are very helpful especially our Chemical Engineering department teachers. The course curriculum is relevant to the GATE exams, and also it makes the students industry ready. Other than the IIT's, top 5 NIT's Jadavpur University is the only college in which if you study core, you can land a core job. The semester exams for our department are decently difficult, and ...

One of the best Engineering institutes in India.

Faculty: The teachers are extremely helpful in JU. All teachers have a minimum qualification of Ph.D. They have all done great researches. But some professors are not very much friendly. But most of the professors are great. The syllabus is also good, apart from the mathematics part, which is not updated to the current standard and is very much random. But our core subjects are very much relevant and it is sure to make us industry-ready as evident from our placements in reputed PSUs. The exam is not very...

It is the best college in terms of ROI.

Faculty: Around 30 professors from Jadavpur University were featured in the top 2% of scientists by the prestigious Stanford University. Almost 14 professors are from IIT BHU, and 22 professors from IIT Guwahati are on this list. Research culture at JU is the second-best position in India after IIT madras. By this reference, I can say professors are very well knowledgeable. The course that they provide us is very relevant from the industrial point of view.

Placements: Jadavpur University is 115 years old premier technical institution. It always maintains its dignity in terms of both placements and research. A lot of companies from various sectors like IT, software, finance, consulting, analytics, core, etc., do visit the campus every year during the placement drive. The highest salary package offered for the 2020 batch was 65 LPA by Atlassian. In our department, the highest salary package offered was 22 LPA by Golden Sachs, and the average salary package offe...

Excellent placements, low fee.

Faculty: Most of the teachers are highly qualified and well experienced. Teaching quality is good for most of the subjects there are separately recorded videos for lab classes which makes is a bit more convenient. But sometimes I feel difficulty in Maths department but that is okay as all notes are available. Curriculum is relevant. In first year you will get to study subjects from all branches like every other college and from 2 and year you will be focused towards your particular branch. Exams are not ...

University with best return of investment in India.

Faculty: The teachers have ample experience in their related fields. Many professors have actually studied in Jadavpur university. They are helpful and are willing to clear our doubts. The course curriculum is up-to-date with the GATE syllabus, helping students to pursue higher education if they desire. If the students want to be industry ready, the professors and the syllabus will aid in that as well. The semester exams are not too difficult if you have followed the professors and your concepts are clea...

Review of Jadavpur University.

Faculty: There are highly educated and well-experienced faculty members here. They are always eager to solve the doubts of students. Students also aspire to do research with professors here. Faculty members are highly supportive. They always provide extra time and focus on students who are very weak in their respective subjects.

Placements: The placement scenario is above average here. The average salary package offered was around 19 LPA in 2021. The highest salary package offered was 51 LPA to students by Microsoft ...

You will get a good return on a small investment.

Faculty: For 17 students, there is one faculty member. All the faculty members here are good and qualified. The teaching quality is good, but as it is a state university, sometimes faculty members preferred to teach in Bengali language as 90% of students are from their home state. Semester exams are quite difficult.

Placements: About 90% of the students get placed from our course. This year, i.e., in 2021 passed out batch, the highest salary package offered in our course was 58 LPA, and the lowest salary package offe...

It offers good placements but not a good curriculum and faculty members.

Faculty: The curriculum is below average and due to online classes, teachers are unable to teach efficiently. The online classes taken are very inadequate because teachers are not well versed in technology and are too lazy to learn it. Teachers are not interested in getting acquainted with technology to take online classes. The curriculum is not relevant to the industry at all. However, the semester exams in the college are easy to score and maintain a GPA of 8+.

Faculty: Faculty and curriculum is quite decent. Most of the faculty are well qualified. But due to online classes it's difficult to interact with them. Curriculum is quite relevant but one has to put some extra effort to make himself industry ready. The semester exam are neither too difficult nor too easy, depends on the student.

Faculty: Teachers in our university are very helpful. They try to study as much as better. Their knowledge is very good. They tell every student that when they face any problem regarding the study, then they can contact them at any time. Semester exams are not difficult because what our teachers make us study in the class they try to give that only in the exam paper. So I am satisfied.

Faculty: The teachers at JU are very nice, friendly and highly dignified. They are experienced in their subject matters and also can co-relate the subject to us to a great extent. Many of them have written scholarly articles and are PhD holders. The curriculum is very relevant and at par with the new age technologies and skills required.
