Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Divyanga University (JRDU) was founded in 2001 by Jagadguru Rambhadracharya and is run by the Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Viklang Shikshan Sansthan Trust. It is a government-aided University and is located in Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh. The University offers 26 courses under eight faculties such as Humanities, Social Sciences, Computer & Information Sciences, Music, Fine Arts, Education, Commerce & Management and Vocational Studies. The University is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC), The National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC) and Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Divyanga University is the only university, exclusively for the disabled across the globe. To ensure greater participation of disabled students in higher and professional education, the University offers disabled-friendly campus, courses and classrooms with traditional and modern knowledge. It focuses on the overall development of the students by providing both theoretical as well as practical knowledge. Keeping in mind the special needs of the differently enabled students, the University encourages sports activities as well.
