B.A (Honors) in Islamic Studies - Batch of 2025

Good infrastructure, supportive faculty, and decent placement opportunities.
Placements: My batch had a good placement record, with around 75 to 85 percent of students got placed through campus recruitment. The average package offered was around 4 LPA to 6 LPA while the highest package was significantly higher depending on the student's sales and profile. Major requirements included reputed IT consulting and core companies. Many students also secured internships in well-known organisations. Common roles offered were software developer, analyst, engineer associate, and support executive. The placement cell regularly conducted trainee sessions, aptitude classes, and mock interviews to improve employability.
Infrastructure: The college provided good infrastructure for academic and residential purposes. The classrooms were spacious with modern teaching aids. The laboratories were well-maintained and contained the required equipment for practical learning. The library had a good collection of books, journals and digital resources. Wi-Fi connectivity was available across most parts of the campus. Hostel facilities were satisfactory with clean rooms, regular maintenance, and security. The mess provided decent food with multiple options. The medical facilities, sports grounds, and activities were also available for students.
Faculty: The faculty members were qualified, supportive, and knowledgeable in their respective fields. Most teachers were approachable and willing to help students, academics, and projects. The curriculum covered fundamental concepts along with industry-relevant topics although students needed additional certification and practical exposure to become fully industry-ready. Semester examinations were moderately difficult and could be cleared with regular study and attendance. The pass percentage was generally good and students who consistently attended classes and completed assignments performed well in examinations.
Other: I chose this course because it aligned with my career goals and provided both radical knowledge and practical core exposure. The best aspects of the course were the supportive faculty, learning opportunities, industry-oriented activities, and placement assistance. The college regularly organized workshops, seminars, cultural events, and technical fests that enhanced the overall learning experience. Areas that could be improved included stronger industry collaboration, more internship opportunities, and additional hands-on training. Overall the college provided a positive environment for academic and personal development.

Good placements but the infrastructure needs improvement.
Placements: The placements in this college are kind of average because the average package of my course is around 3–7 LPA. You can recover the money you spend on the 3-year course within the first year of your job. You can earn pretty decent, but you need to learn some skills.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, but there are no ACs in the department. Wi-Fi needs to be improved as it is very slow. Wi-Fi is needed for everyone because mobile network is not properly available there. The canteen prices are a bit high, but the food is good.
Faculty: Faculty is good. They teach very well and complete the syllabus before the semester ends. The exam pattern and curriculum are the best part for me. Unlike other colleges, they have a simple and easy exam pattern, but 65% attendance is required for sitting in exams.
Other: Events are good and the sports complex is awesome.

Really good campus life and core science course.
Placements: 4 of our seniors were placed in working laboratories, and the rest further chose to go with Masters degree. Internships are provided from the 3rd year to gain hands-on experience in this field. Also, labs are well-equipped for research purposes. The highest package received was 8 LPA. Most students go for Masters mostly for better opportunities.
Infrastructure: Well-maintained hostels for girls and boys with decent quality food, but the canteens are really nice at a reasonable price. Though the hostel fees are high. I'll suggest taking individual PGs or flats instead, that'd be a better deal. If hygiene is a concern, then hostels should be avoided.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-trained and experienced, and provide in-depth knowledge in every major and minor course. All of them are mostly well qualified with a doctorate degree. Everything is taught theoretically as well as practically. Semester exams are designed in a way to test the students and check their knowledge about the given subject thoroughly.
Other: Great campus life with lush greenery everywhere. Gets really beautiful during the evening and monsoon times.

If you want to relax and only degree, then go.
Placements: About 70% student got placement. The highest package is 30 LPA, and the average is 6 LPA. Companies like Wipro, HCL, and some foreign companies recruit. Students got 100% internship roles like developed trainee and so on. My college fees are so high, about 9 lakhs too.
Infrastructure: Facilities are enough, okay, but infrastructure needs construction, and some classes are not well organized. So Wi-Fi also does work proper. The hostel is good, but there is also a bad thing about wash room. Overall, there is no much facilities provide as other.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and frank, but the curriculum is not addressed, so there is a lack of knowledge. Industry-ready students are NIT. Sem exams are also not too hard. They offer low type question, so they pass easily, 33% is the passing percentage, and if backlog, then re appear.
Other: No fest is held.

Truly satisfied with the campus life and facilities.
Placements: This is a new course in Jamia Hamdard. My batch is the second batch, so I don’t have any idea about placements, but the university also offers M.A. in this course as well as Ph.D. in this course. This course has good scope in India and especially outside.
Infrastructure: Amazing infrastructure; they provide Wi-Fi, AC classrooms, a decent library, and they have around 4–5 canteens with good quality food. They conduct sports events and tournaments every few months, so overall a good experience. I don’t have any idea about hostel, but the rest everything is nice, and they also have a hospital on campus.
Faculty: The faculty are really helpful and humble. Semester exams are also not that difficult, and the passing marks are 50 out of 100 for semester exams. The professors are knowledgeable with good experience, and the teaching quality is also good as they provide good lectures.
Other: The campus life is really good, and the surroundings are clean and green. The only improvement they can do is provide more seating space to students.

I am not saying that the college is bad, but the students are.
Placements: 5 percent of students get placed. The highest package is around 6 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. TCS and Wipro are regular recruiting companies. 30 percent of students get internships in various companies like Infosys and TCS. Roles offered are software developer and web developer.
Infrastructure: Facilities are average. Only the canteen, campus, and medical facilities are good, the rest are average. The library is noisy every time I see it. Labs are not good, systems don't work often. Only cricket is good, no other sport. Everything is taken lightly, and there are fights very often.
Faculty: Some teachers are good, helpful, and qualified, but not every teacher. This course curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are good, not too hard, not too easy. They are good as they should be. The passing percentage is 30 percent. The university takes 2000 per subject for a back.
Other: I chose this course because the upcoming time is all about coding and programming. I would like to see better equipment and systems for labs and better tables and chairs for the library. Events and fests are average.
