The cutoff of the general category in the last round in 2024 for admission in the LLM programme in Criminal Law at the Faculty of Law, Jamia Millia Islamia, was 71.5. These cutoff marks are the minimum marks that a student needs to attain for entry into the LLM in Criminal Law course through the JMI Entrance Exam. LLM in Criminal Law is one of the specialisations provided by the Faculty of Law, with Personal Law and Corporate Law being the other two. This cutoff percentage was consistent in these three specialisations even in the last round for the year 2024.

The cut-off for the last round in LLM in Personal Law at Jamia Millia Islamia, Faculty of Law, was 71.5 marks in the all India general category in 2024. Cut-off is the minimum mark that needs to be attained to take admission to the programme offered at the Faculty of Law for LLM in Personal Law via the entrance conducted by JMI. However, the self-financed LLM programmme had markedly lower cut-offs in 2024. Thus, it highlights how competitive the regular programmme are.

The application procedure for admission is as follows:Go to website of Jami a Millia Islamia (jmi.ac.in)Fill out the online form for applicationUpload essential documents such as mark sheets from class 10th and 12th, ID proof, etc.Pay an application fee (around INR 700)After filling out the application form, you have to sit for an entrance examination, which is generally conducted in June. The exam contains Multiple Choice Questions of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. The duration of the exam is 2 years, and the syllabus includes the syllabus of Classes 11 and 12. The admit card for the exam can be downloaded from the official website of Jamia once it is available.If you score valid marks in the exam, you will be selected for the course. After this, you will have to submit the required fee to confirm the seat.

The candidate must appear in the entrance test conducted by JMI, which shall test their aptitude in constitutional law, criminal law, and the law of contract, amongst others. The course follows up with a written examination, followed by an interview. Eligibility is obtained based on performance in the entrance test. Admissions is given on the basis of candidates's performance in the entrance test, however, the selection is competitive and merit-based.

The admit card for the JMI entrance exam is normally issued 10 days before the date of the examination. Candidates can download the admit card by logging into their account using their login credentials on the official website of JMI. It will contain relevant information like name, roll number, date, time, and venue for the exam. However, admit cards have to be taken with the candidates to the examination centres in printed format along with a valid photo ID. The candidates are not allowed to appear for the examination in a centre if they do not have their admit card.
