Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada was set up in 1946 as a public university. JNTU, Kakinada at the time of its establishment was known as The College of Engineering, Visakhapatnam. JNTU, Kakinada is one of the leading universities that majorly focus on the Engineering domain. Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada offers five courses at the undergraduate level, namely B.Tech, B.Pharma B.Arch Pharma. D and integrated MBA. The duration of B.Tech and B.Pharma is four years each, whereas B.Arch and integrated MBA are of five-year duration. Pharma. D is of six-year duration. Admission to all these courses is entrance exam-based. JNTUK M.Tech admissions are based on GATE score followed by CCMT counselling or Andhra Pradesh PGECET score. In addition to this, candidates must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology as an optional subject for M.Tech admission at JNTUK. The total course fee for M.Tech course ranges between INR 56,000 and INR 2.28 Lacs.
