Yes, the M.A. in Modern History eligibility criteria differ for the reserved category candidates at JNU. The University has a reservation policy that applies to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS/PWD categories. For SC/ST candidates, 15% and 7.5% of seats are reserved, respectively. For OBC (NCL) candidates, 27% of seats are reserved. For EWS candidates, 10% of seats are reserved. PWD candidates are also eligible for 5% reservation of supernumerary seats. Additionally, candidates from Quartile 1 and 2 districts are eligible for deprivation points, which can be added to their score in the Computer Based Test (CBT). The University also provides relaxation in the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination for OBC (NCL) candidates, and SC/ST and PWD candidates who have passed the qualifying examination are eligible to appear in the Entrance Examination. It is essential to note that the candidate must fulfill the minimum eligibility requirements prescribed for the concerned programmes of study, and the admission will be based on the performance in the CBT and the deprivation points added to their score.
