College of Dairy Science, still a long way to go.

Placements: There is not Hundred percent placement in our college but placement is fair. Average 75% placement is done every year. Other students have to seek jobs their own. Initially it was 100% but year by year it is decreasing. 25000 was the highest, 18000 was the lowest salery offered. Cooperative dairies of Gujarat are the top recruiting companies. Dairy Technologist is the top role which is offered. 100 percent students got internship in dairies in Gujarat.

Infrastructure: Whole campus is free Wi-Fi connected. We have RFID system, smart classes, state of art bio informatics computer laboratory. The developed infrastructure is the best but the overall campus is still lacking as our college started few years ago. There is lack of sports ground, hostel, mess building, auditorium, mini dairy plant, etc. But I hope it will be constructed soon.

Faculty: Faculty is good and quite supporting. They all are very knowledgeable and telented in their own field. But still our college lacks full number of faculty members. The course is completely based on theory and it can help in growing your knowledge and confidence. But without an internship you can't survive in industry.

My college, not the best but trying to be one.

Placements: Placement is fair. Students are placed in dairies only when vacancies are open otherwise it is quite difficult to find a job. Average Salary is 20,000 per month. It also matters that In what type of dairy are you going to be recruited. Top recruiting companies of our course are Dairies in the Saurashtra region of Gujarat. Top roles offered is of Dairy technologist, it is an officer level job in dairy. Still, it is okay since our college is new. It has only been 10 years since it started in 2009. It will develop gradually.

Infrastructure: In case of infrastructure our college building is state of art. We have modern classrooms, labs and offices. But still it is under development. The sports ground has got clearance but not constructred yet. We are living in old hostel in heart of Amreli. It is 15 km away from college and we have to use college bus for traveling. It is old and rusty. New hostel will be construed near college in next five years. Same with training plant and auditorium.

Faculty: Yes, teachers are helpful. They are not PhDs but still quite talented in their respective fields. They are also very cooperative. Ready to help. Simple minded and student friendly. The cource is also easy and simple. It is also industry relavant. And to be specific it is industry based.

Other: I chose this course because job scope was good and the course was not tough like others.

Really good at infrastructure, extra curriculum activities and sports.

Placements: 100% students were placed in course. The highest salary was offered 25000 rupees per month, the lowest salary offered was 18000 rupees per month and average salary was offered was 20000 rupees per month. Top recruiting companies are AMR Dairy, Amreli, Sarhad Dairy Kutch, Vadilal Ice Cream, etc. Top roles offered are as Dairy Technologists. 100 percents students got internship in various dairy plants of GCMMF.

Infrastructure: Fully free high-speed Wi-Fi is available at our college building. Labs are equipped with equipments, machines, etc. All labs are equipped with good quality of equipment with good and helpful lab technicians. There are three dairy technology labs, two dairy chemistry labs, three dairy microbiology labs, one computer lab and one dairy engineering workshop, four digital classrooms and a library with lots of books related to course and general books. Good quality food is given at hostel mess and canteen. One volleyball ground and one table tennis table is at hostel. Medical facilities are good and hospitals are near to hostel.

Faculty: Our teachers are helpful. Our lab technicians are also helpful. They are qualified and KNOWLEDGEABLE. They all are post graduated or Ph.D. qualified. Teaching quality is better than other colleges. 100% course is taught in our college and in all subjects. After the under graduation, students are ready for industry.

Review of my college and hostel campus.

Placements: 50% placements.

Infrastructure: My college is newly constructed so good condition lab and classroom, but the hostel is not good. Infrastructure is good but overall condition is not good. The library is very good and the online library system is provided by the college. My college is a very good college. In this college, laboratory condition is a very good and microbiology laboratory is best in my college. In this lab equipment is in good condition. Chemistry lab in properly working.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful for students in class or any personal matter of student. They all are knowledgeable and experienced but still there is lack of staff. The workshop is very good condition.

Other: Events organised are freshers party, sarjan, samvadd and Sanskriti.
