Helpful campus for students from Iritty.
Placements: For placements, we mostly approach Kannur University Central drives from the location of our college, it was slightly tough. For big companies like TCS, Infosys, and IBM there was no such support to go through the placement in our college. All our passed-out seniors were working now in big companies, they would have gone through all these battles.
Infrastructure: The college was absolutely suitable for students from Iritty and nearby tribal areas, as during monsoon and climate changes it's difficult for students to go to Kannur to study further. Iritty had good frequent bus connectivity, and most students studying here were first graduates. Hostel facilities are not available, so suggest looking for nearby PG/rooms within 2 to 3 kms.
Faculty: Faculty members mostly cracked KTET and other exams and so proven their eligibility. The main paper covered usual Maths papers like differential equations, matrices, algebra, etc. A few of the elective papers were mostly based on computer applications. Faculty members focused on teaching without wasting single period of time.

S. U. M College of Teacher Education near Anjarakandy Panchayat.
Placements: S. U. M. College of Teacher Education did not assist in recruitment, instead, it focused on providing Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test coaching/PSC coaching and helped us get a job in government/government aided school. Other than this they provided support by preparing us for a demo class at a nearby school.
Infrastructure: The college was located in a rural region near Anjarakandy Panchayat in the Kannur district of Kerala. The college was quite suitable for girls from rural regions to pursue their career course.
Faculty: Faculty members were much fewer in number, all around the whole college. The number of working faculty members dropped below 30, it's a less crowded community or campus. Faculty members would train themselves to train us from scratch and make us perfect teachers.
Other: The admission process was thoroughly under Kannur University. New batches in every course were admitted with only 40 to 50 seats, and admission was mostly completed before July, and classes would commence from August.

A balanced and student-friendly college experience.
Placements: Most students in my course do not opt for campus placements. Many students prefer higher studies. As a result, the placement percentage is relatively low. There are no significantly high-paying package opportunities. Most roles are in teaching, research assistance, or basic administrative positions.
Infrastructure: The college provides basic but adequate infrastructure for our course. Classrooms are comfortable, but some need improvement. The library is well-equipped with useful subject materials. Wi-Fi access is limited. No specific labs required for this course.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. They are qualified and knowledgeable, along with clear and student-friendly teaching methods. Semester exams are moderately difficult. Students who attend classes regularly and prepare well can pass easily. Pass percentage is generally high. Students interested in higher studies can take this course easily.
Other: I am part of the B.A. The history batch, where most students are focused on academics and higher studies. I chose this course because I have a strong interest in history.

Placements: There are only 5–10% of students placed every year. There are no big companies recruiting students in this college. There is a good opportunity for students to go for internships at international-level companies like Spectrum and others.
Infrastructure: There are good and effective classrooms and libraries in this college. The management team focuses on maintaining a good ambiance and environment across the college campus, classrooms, and libraries. Highly standardized facilities are available in this college.
Faculty: There are good and effective faculty members and management in this college. Most of the teachers are highly qualified and educated, so they provide good education to students. They focus on student development and future opportunities.
Other: Compared to other colleges in Kannur, Don Bosco provides standard and quality education for students. They do not only focus on education. Extracurricular activities such as sports and arts are also an important part of the institution.

Kannur University is a good option.
Placements: In my belief, one student was placed in a bank that conducted a placement interview at my college. All of the other are pursuing postgraduation or preparing for competitive exams like SSC, PSC, and banks. Very glad to say that our department teachers are also studying in our college and now working as assistant professors.
Infrastructure: We have a wonderful classroom with ICT. We get a strong Wi-Fi connection in the department and also in the classrooms. Here we have a well-developed mathematics lab with lots of reference books. We can go in our free time and after class. We have a hostel for boys and girls. The girls' hostel is superb. The boys' hostel is very good. In college we have a canteen and store. In canteen we get good food for affordable rates. The store provides books, pens, and stationery in the college compound. We have strong sports players and we have been champions for kho-kho, basketball, and cricket for many years at Kannur University.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and qualified. We are very glad to study their students. They are helping to ease the studies. Curriculum is relevant but many of them are not applicable in real life. The difficulty of exams is average. The last two semesters were a little bit difficult but manageable. Pass percentage is 70-75 percent.
Other: I like Maths so I chose this course. The campus is also good like the surroundings. The college supports extracurricular activities like NSS and NCC. We have been the champions of University Kalolsavam for the past 34 years.

Vimal Jyothi Engineering College offers a disciplined environment focused on academics.
Placements: In this college the placement rate ranges from 60-65 percent. The highest package is 7 LPA and the average package is 3.05 LPA. Companies visit the college to offer campus placements among them are top recruiters such as Amazon, TCS, Wipro, Bharath Benz, South Indian Bank, and many others. Student internships start from the 3rd semester onwards most of them are done offline while some of them are online and they are done during the semester intervals. Top roles offered are data scientist, data analyst, AI engineer, and so on.
Infrastructure: College provides decent Wi-Fi connections, smart classrooms, AC labs, and so many books are available at the central libraries and department libraries. There are a total of four hostels available for B.Tech students. There are water filters, hot water, and Wi-Fi available. The quality of food is good both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food are available in the mess. There are two canteens in the college campus both of which are open only during class times. There are also two outdoor basketball courts, one outdoor volleyball court and an indoor volleyball court, one indoor badminton court, one football ground, and a place to play cricket.
Faculty: Faculty members of the college are so helpful and approachable, and have deep knowledge about their subjects. Almost all of the faculty members have M.Tech and PhD as their educational qualifications. The course curriculum is based on Abdul Kalam Technological University it includes core subjects such as programming languages, data structures, data analytics, data science, robotics, Artificial Intelligence, and also has labs and mini project works to make students industry-ready. Each semester has three internal exams and one end-semester exam. Almost all of them have a difficult level from moderate to hard.
Other: I chose this college because of its supportive academic environment and calm environment. The course curriculum needs improvement such as including more practical industry exposure, interaction with industrial experts, and so on. The college only conducts a few events such as Onam, Christmas, and the arts and tech fest. There are no other fests and events conducted in the college. Extracurricular activities are so few when compared to other colleges. Students maintain a healthy relationship between seniors and juniors and the management never supports any kind of ragging. The college also offers different kinds of scholarships which cover almost the entire fees of the students.
