IIM Mumbai Admission Criteria
IIM Mumbai admission criteria 2026-28 included overall CAT percentile of 85 for General category candidates. Any candidate who scored 85 percentile in CAT 2025 was eligible for admission to IIM Mumbai’s full-time MBA programmes. IIM Mumbai was formerly known as NITIE Mumbai conducted the PI round in February-March 2026.

IIM Mumbai Eligibility Criteria for MBA
- The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45 % in case of SC/ST/PwD category.
- The bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing class 12 or equivalent.
- A candidate appearing for the final year bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply. Such a candidate must have obtained at least 50% marks or equivalent (45% in case of the candidate belonging to SC/ST/PwD category) in first and second year of the degree programme.

IIM Mumbai Admission Criteria 2026-2028: Final Selection
The final selection of candidates for IIM Mumbai MBA programmes was done on the basis of their composite scores. The criteria of final selection included academic performance and work experience.

The final selection list was released in May 2026 and selected candidates received offer of admission letter in email. Selected candidates had to confirm acceptance of admission offer by a particular date.

The general category CAT percentile cutoff at IIM Raipur normally lies between 92 and 95%, though it could differ somewhat depending on the category (OBC, SC, ST) and applicant pool. At somewhat lower percentiles, candidates with a solid academic background and pertinent professional experience may be given consideration. A comprehensive review that takes into account the candidate's performance on the Written Ability Test (WAT), academic background, and personal interview (PI) is required for the ultimate selection. Yes, candidates can get admission to specific executive or online MBA programs at IIM Mumbai without the CAT by using alternative exams like GMAT or GRE, or by clearing the institute's own entrance test. However, the regular, full-time flagship MBA programme strictly requires a valid CAT score.

IIM Mumbai offers financial assistance in the form of financial assistance to PhD scholarships. During the first and second years of the PhD, students get INR 37,000 per month. Stay in hostels is not mandatory in IIM Mumbai. It's depends on you if you don't want to take hostel, then you can live outside but I think in IIM Mumbai, for some courses like PGDIE, PGDIM hostels are compulsory.
