Kannur University Admissions 2025: Eligibility & Selection, Fees, Application Process

As per the available information, getting a direct admission at Kannur University is not possible. BSc admission at the university is subject to fulfilment of the specified eligibility and selection criteria. Eligible candidates are shortlisted based on their Class 12/equivalent exam merit. The university also follows a strict seat reservation policy while allocating the seats. Even the candidates seeking BSc admission under the Management Quota are required to fulfil the preset admission criteria. At its Kasaragod Campus, Kannur University offers a Diploma in Tulu. The course duration is one academic year of 200 hours. Classes for the course are condcuted only on Saturdays. The medium of instruction and examination of the course is Kannada. The university offers 30 seats under the Diploma course. Kannur University offers a Diploma in Tulu which is a one-year course. The course duration is further divided into two semesters. The university conducts classes for the programme on only on Saturdays. Over one year, there are 200 teaching hours in total. The medium of instruction and examination is Kannada. The course curriculum includes learning about the history and literature of Tulu. It also includes a project work which can be carried out as field work or desk work. A written project/document must be submitted to the University at the end of the second semester. The project is evaluated by an external examiner. 

Kannur University's cutoff marks for 2023 are: 

PG admission: 55% aggregate marks for Tech/MBA/4 year BA/BSc (with mathematics course at Plus two level). For SEBC and physically challenged candidates, the aggregate mark required is 50%. For SC and ST, a minimum pass in the degree examination is sufficient.

MA English: 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.

Any degree: 50% aggregate marks or equivalent grade.

The Department Council works out the details for admission to PG programs. The details are then communicated to the University and incorporated into the prospectus.
