Honest review by a student of Government Ayurveda College, Thiruvananthapuram.
Placements: My batch is 2021 B.A.M.S. I studied in a government college in Kerala and came from Bihar through the NEET examination. There is an internal quota and an All-India quota. An internship is provided after completing 4.5 years of study. One year compulsory internship is given with a monthly of Rs.23,000 provided by the Government of Kerala.
Infrastructure: Hostels are in the main city, and the infrastructure is good, but it is similar to that of a normal government college. In the final year, you get a single room, so it is very nice for final-year students to live here. The monthly charge of the hostel is only Rs.250, and a mess is available.
Faculty: Faculty is very good here. Exams are conducted every month, with monthly tests based on the NCISM syllabus. There are 2 internal exams, and the final exam is at an interval of 1.5 years. There is a 3-proof system for the 2021 NCISM batch. The 2021 batch has to face more academic things.
Other: Here at my college, there are only B.A.M.S. and M.S. courses, so there are very few people. The patient flow is also very good.

It's absolutely a very nice college, clinical classes are very good, and patient flow is also good.
Placements: The B.A.M.S. course mainly provides a whole clinical exposure with good teachers, and more patient exposure. The internship program is for 1 year. Here, we get an internship stipend of Rs. 23,000 per month. We visit all departments and can gain experience.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, library, and hostel facilities are available. It has an organized library with too many books, but AC is not available. There are a lot of classrooms and a well-organised lab. Wi-Fi is available, but it's not for students' use. Students can't use it.
Faculty: It's very difficult after the introduction of the new curriculum, NCISM. It is very hard and very difficult to get. It's very good, more involved with the college teacher. All the exams are tough, it has to take 2 internal exams along with 9 periodic assignments, which are also tough, along with a viva in each internal.
Other: The campus had 3 different buildings and a very well-organised hospital.

Okay but programs and events are less. Teaching is good.
Placements: The B.A.M.S. course is standard and help students to acquire good ranks at university level. Also help students to prepare for PG NEET entrance. Students become self sufficient to treat the patients and diagnose various disease aspects. Make students confident as a doctor to practise.
Infrastructure: Well-equipped lab facilities, library, dissection hall, clinical classroom etc. Are provided for the student. Also the college offer a peaceful atmosphere to study and excel. Hostel is really clean and hostel food is average. College also has a canteen with a variety of good food. Library has a good collection of study materials.
Faculty: Well qualified teachers who are compassionate and helpful for our studies. Exams are conducted on a regular basis to improve our grades. Along with exam assignment and other question asking sessions are conducted by the teachers. Curriculum makes a good doctor of every student. Exams are 2 internals, 2 model exam and 1 unive exam for every year. It is a 5 and half year course with 4 and half year course and 1 year internship. The pass percentage is 50.
Other: I choose this course because of my ambition to become a doctor. This course not only teaches ayurveda but also modern medicine and yoga. This course could have adopted more clinical postings and seminars. Campus has a calm atmosphere surrounded with nature. Students are encouraged in extra curricular activities. Various programs are conducted by the college.

    Our college is very good.
Placements: Almost 50% of students got placed in our college. Many students got placed in many hospitals. Some students are going to the government hospital. Some students got internships in hospitals. The top role offered is doctor.
Infrastructure: Our college provides us with all facilities. Our college has a hospital. The campus is not much good. Classrooms are average. The canteen provides vegetarian food items. They provide sports facilities.
Faculty: Our teachers are well-qualified and helpful. They are supportive. The teaching quality is good. Exams are a bit difficult. More than 80% of students pass the exams.
Other: I opted for this course because I want to become an Ayurvedic doctor. After qualifying NEET entrance exam you can join here. A scholarship facility is available for merit students.

We have a satisfactory atmosphere and faculty members with good infrastructure.
Placements: We have an assured one-year internship at the college hospital. There is no campus recruitment for this course. A Bachelor's degree in Ayurveda makes us have the role of an ayurvedic physician, and we become a lecturer if we take a PG. Most of the students either try for PG or start a clinic themselves.
Infrastructure: The government has provided free Wi-Fi at our college. We have enough classrooms with digital boards and also well-efficient labs. Our library has a good infrastructure, including a digital library platform. Medical facilities are very much available and the college gives importance to sports and the arts. The college provides a hostel facility for all the students, which is well-infrastructured. The food quality is good as the students run the mess. They prepare the menu, and order the essentials.
Faculty: Teachers on the campus are very helpful and all are well qualified. They help us with all aspects, including clinical practice. The course curriculum is relevant except for a few syllabus points. We have yearly exams and the pass percentage is above 85%.
Other: Medical profession utilising natural medicines and traditional, this is what attracted me to this course doesn't get the recognition it deserve, I hope a change in this would happen in the near future. We have various programmes in our campus like seminar, arts fest, games, athletic meet, cultural events, celebration of various festivals etc. We have enough patients visiting the college hospital that help us connect more to people and learn better. Campus surrounding is very well maintained and we have a good medicinal garden and a large ground along with various academic blocks and hospitals and hostels. Scholarships are provided for the eligible categories. We conduct sports meets, art, and games every year.

Utmost satisfaction with course and specially the faculty and Statistics also good .
Placements: Placements in medicine is not like other services. This place really brushes up your skill with amazing patient exposure. With this course you can be an ayurvedic doctor in charge and also medical officer. Government health sector would recruit you. For government placement the package is same usually. You get to do an compulsory internship year.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure for the course is amazing you will have everything and anything to fulfill your academic and curriculum related needs in college. Though the hostel isn't that nice food is good, but the place is crowded you will have all necessities here for sure but not in the best possible condition.
Faculty: The teachers are amazing, all very helpful, caring and qualified. The teaching quality is quite good with all probable practical learning. The course curriculum is surely relevant. Semester exams are average in terms of difficulty. Pass percentage for exams is 50% and 90+%students get passed.
Other: It's an amazing course making a balance in the ancient and modern times. I feel like its the future and is going to have good scope in future. You would love the curriculum here everything just amazing and fun and learning.
