My medical experience in TMC.
Placements: Most of the students go for further studies, while the rest work in the hospital owned by the college or get placed in different hospitals in India and Kerala. The final year is for an internship in the hospital itself, where the students learn firsthand how to deal with patients.
Infrastructure: The college provides a good hostel for both boys and girls with decent infrastructure and daily cleaning. Classrooms are equipped with projectors and are spacious. The library has a lot of books, and most students can be found there referring to the books after college hours.
Faculty: The teachers are all experienced doctors who also practice in the hospital and teach. The college is approved by the Medical Board and is under KUHAS, which conducts the exams. The course curriculum is very relevant, and the exams are held on a yearly basis.

Review of Government Medical College, Thrissur.
Placements: Education is almost free. About 175 students can take admission here. All of them will get jobs. It is a top college in Kerala. There will be no tension about going jobless. We should write the NEET exam and have a good score to get admission.
Infrastructure: The college and course offer good education facilities and infrastructure. There is Wi-Fi in hostel. Labs are neat and clean and help to practice a lot. Classrooms are good with proper facilities. the library is useful for studying; all students go to the library for reference.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. They are all well qualified and have good knowledge. They teach through PowerPoint and lectures but for us, all the classes are boring. The course is now modified; details will be announced during admission. The exam will be tough but we can manage to pass it all.

Government medical college Kozhikode a dream college of many students in Kerala .
Placements: About 5000 students are studying in my college for MBBS course alone. We entered through the All India Medical Entrance Exam. Last Kerala rank entered was 333 in 2019, almost 650 plus marks were needed. Other cases like nursing, lab technologies, etc., are available here.
Infrastructure: We have government hostels with good infrastructure. My hostel is like apartments which were for PG students. As our hostels are less, they give us permission to stay in apartments. Therefore, very good facilities with good food and water are also provided, and study areas are present.
Faculty: Teachers are good. But lecture classes are quite boring. Most of us attend class for getting attendance. Lab and workshops are also available. Studying CBME curriculum with lots of clinical practical knowledge is very useful. But the curriculum is exerting too much pressure on us.
Other: My batch is huge with 250 MBBS students. It's boring to study in such a large capacity classroom.

Good college for studies.
Placements: Placements depend on your skillset and experience. It mainly depends on your skills in a clinical setting and how well you can perform in certain situations. It depends on the knowledge of the student and doesn't matter to some extent which college the student passed out from.
Infrastructure: The college may be lacking in terms of infrastructure compared to other colleges. The campus is not that big compared to other government medical colleges I have been to. But all of the minimum requirements are met at this college for the students by the college.
Faculty: The faculty, such as the professors and assistant professors, are top notch and they provide help to the students. They are experienced veterans in their own fields and they provide their valuable experience and knowledge to the students here at Karuna.

Really great career opportunity, if you wish for financial stability by helping those in need.
Placements: There are little to no campus placements for BHMS students but if you are to do private practice after graduation you are likely to make around INR 25000 to 70000 monthly. But we have a mandatory internship of 1 year provided by the government in any of the 5 BHMS medical colleges under the university for which you will get 25000 rupees monthly.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure needs some serious updations since most of the lab equipment is either faulty or outdated, classrooms are congested with over 60 students in each class but almost all the classrooms are digitalized. Hostel facilities are not that great but compared to other universities it is satisfactory. If you have a taste for Kerala cuisine you will find it no difficult to adapt.
Faculty: Faculty members are really helpful, they are willing to help us around the clock without any hesitations. All of the faculty members are either PG or Ph.D. The curriculum is designed in such a way that there are both theory and practical classes in equal proportion, helping us to be better prepared to deal with real-life situations. Exams are conducted at the end of each year and if you work hard for 2 months you can easily clear the exams. We have about 75% pass percentage.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to become a doctor from a very young age. I want to help those in need also to have financial stability and security. The best thing about the course is that the curriculum is designed to help the students become prepared for the outside world. There will be a university arts festival and sports festival each year in which almost 150 colleges participate. There are numerous clubs like NSS, Red Cross, forestry club, Literature club etc. to promote our extracurriculars. You can apply for a variety of scholarships as a BHMS student like AYUSH scholarships, post metric etc.
