Q:   Which courses can I do after a D.Ed.? Should I do a BSc or B.Ed?
A:

The best choice depends on your career aspirations:

·       If you want to become a teacher: Opt for a B.Ed. It's the mandatory qualification for teaching in most schools.

·       If you want to pursue a career in research or a science-related field: A BSc would be more suitable. It provides a strong foundation for further studies and specialised careers.

·       If you're unsure: Consider your interests and skills. Do you enjoy teaching and interacting with students? Or are you more drawn to scientific exploration and research?

Additional options:

·       M.Ed.: If you already have a B.Ed., you can pursue a Master of Education for career advancement or specialisation in a particular teaching area.

·       Diploma courses: Various specialised Diploma courses in education or related fields can enhance your skills and knowledge.

Jamshedpur Women's University: A brutally honest review.
Placements: The placements are not really the best feature of this course. I had heard a couple of students were placed initially or that some recruiters had come over but that the interviews did not go so well. Very few or next to no students were placed. Anyone looking to secure a job right after the UG course should not come to this college or this particular course at least.
Infrastructure: The college does have Wi-Fi, but not everybody has access to it. The library is good enough. The lab is stocked up with good equipment but not good in terms of chemicals. There is, however, a plant tissue culture laboratory being set up with regard to biotechnology. Otherwise, you can do pretty much every practical in the coursework, but you cannot do your final dissertation project in the lab as such. There is a canteen on the Bistupur campus and the Sidgoda campus but the one on the Sidgoda campus is pretty much always closed.
Faculty: There are 3 professors in total. All three of them have knowledge, but I guess the teaching imparted in the classroom ends up being a little dampened because not every student is caught up with the prerequisites for the degree. Doing your homework and reaching out to the professors post-class is a good option if somebody is actually interested in this field, but the professors are overall nice.
Other: There are a couple of events and festivals that happen mostly by the mass media department. Otherwise there's not much that happens. If you are someone who had NCC in grades 11 and 12, make sure you also join NCC in college, as that would help further with admissions, or you can join NSS in the first year itself. If you are a sports person or like participating in sports events, make sure you check the notices from time to time because you would not even know, and half of the prelims will end up having been conducted already.

The placement rate is a little bit below the mark.
Placements: Students were mainly placed through off-campus opportunities. The rest of the things were average. Teachers were also very helpful. Recruiting companies for this course included TCS, Wipro, and Infosys. The starting salary was not very high, but it was a good starting point for freshers.
Infrastructure: The quality of education was good. Facilities were also good. Our department had a great and huge lab. Wi-Fi was not available at that time, but the process to introduce it was ongoing. We had a separate department for each course. Faculty members were allotted separately.
Faculty: Teachers were knowledgeable and helpful. They were highly qualified, with NET qualifications and MCA or Ph.D. degrees. The semester exams were also good. If you studied well, you gained thorough knowledge of different subjects related to your course.
Other: I chose this course because I had a keen interest in programming.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty, good placements in 2015.
Placements: Only 30 percent of students get placed in companies like Adhunik, Codestam Technology. Around 50-60 percent of students get internship from our course, and the highest package offered by companies is 5-6 LPA, and minimum package around 2-4 LPA offered by companies like TCS, Adhunik, Codestam Technology, and many more.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for our course/department are not bad. We have a good classroom, a good library, labs, and also Wi-Fi. The quality of the facilities in the hostel is okay. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. The food available in the mess and canteen is not so good, but the medical and sports or games facilities are available.
Faculty: In our college, the teachers are helpful, and their qualifications are not too bad. They have some knowledge about our stream and give us notes. CSE course curriculum is a good choice if anyone wants to take admission. The semester exams are not difficult if you have prepared for the exam, and the pass marks are 21 out of 70.

The overall university is okay, but the placement is not good enough.
Placements: The placement of this college is very bad for BCA students. None of our seniors got placed. The teachers would guide you for internships, but there aren't many internships provided by the college. You should not depend on this college for placements, but you can definitely find off-campus placements.
Infrastructure: There is a library. Students need to apply for a library card before borrowing books from the library. For BCA department, there are two labs, and some of the systems are not working right now. Hostel rooms in the new campus are quite good. Each room consists of two beds with a table and almirah each. The food is okay.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and qualified too. The course I'm pursuing is very useful for the IT industry, but it needs an artificial intelligence touch, which is provided by the college itself under the 1-year Certificate course. Semester exams are held at the right time too.

Best future-proof college.
Placements: About 80 percent of the students were placed in my course. The highest package was 5 LPA, and the lowest was 2 LPA. Initially, Larsen and Tubro came to hire students. Almost 90 percent of students got internship opportunities, but it all depends on our choice to take the internship or not. History is also included in the curriculum.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available for students with decent speed, though it would be better to have free Wi-Fi across the college. The library is located in separate corners so that students can study without disturbance, and laboratories are also placed in different corners of the campus. A basketball court is available for practice, and sports are celebrated with great enthusiasm.
Faculty: The teachers are really helpful, qualified, knowledgeable, and also frank. My character development improved through their guidance, and I felt completely prepared to understand industrial work when I got placed. The exams are not very difficult, and the level can be considered moderate.
Other: I chose this course because it was my dream college, and I also considered its reputation and placement record. I think the college should work on improving infrastructure. All major events, such as Ganesh Puja, Sports Day, and Birsamunda Jayanti, are well organized and celebrated.

The placement process is very good for all students. Overall, it is good for all departments.
Infrastructure: The hostel was outstanding and nicely decorated. All the Baharagora people were happy with this college. It was very good for boys and girls. The boundary of the college was very large. All facilities were good. The college was famous in the entire area.
Faculty: Overall, 50% of students were smart and intelligent, but some students were nervous during exams. Overall, it was good for studying.
Other: College was nice for all students and also good for all teachers
