Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) - Batch of 2025

Review of our university.
Placements: Our batch consists of almost 160 to 170 students. We didn't get placements from our college. However, the highest package of our college is absolutely 0. Some branches of our college provide internships to students, but there are no specific internship programs for BBA students.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure, classrooms, and facilities of our college are good. As I was one of the students who stayed in the hostel for almost 1 year, I knew about the food quality, which is very nice. We also have some sports where the girls are doing very well.
Faculty: Our teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They provide good teaching quality, but we are not ready for the industry yet as we haven't done any industry visits or any kind of problem-solving projects, which are necessary for the overall development of our minds.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to pursue my Bachelor in Business Administration, and one of the best things about this course is that it's a vocational course. We have a lot of events in the college and many extracurricular activities, and I have taken part in a lot of them.

Absolutely satisfied with the faculty members, really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: In my college Jamshedpur Women's College I have opted for B.A. with history honours. Approximately 70% of students are there in this course. Since I am currently pursuing my graduation, I am not aware of the package and recruitment. I am not aware of the internship programs.
Infrastructure: Our college come up with all the facilities which fulfill all the requirements of students. We have proper and big classroom, labs, with good Wi-Fi, a projector, and a library where we can issue books which we want. About the hostel, rooms provided for the students are quite small but are good for a single student to stay. We have a canteen for cooked food and snacks as well. I am not aware of the medical facilities but we do have sports and games. NCC and all are held.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They are well-qualified and very much knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is excellent. Semester exams are not much difficult as I said the teachers teach beautifully. They make us understand every topic clearly so it is not much difficult to pass the exams. The passing percentage is 90%.
Other: I chose this course to prepare for civil exams as this course provides us with many information. Courses like history, geography, economics, politics, and many more are there. I think the college should conduct a survey and campaign for history students as well. They should take students to historical places for better knowledge. The college conducts several events, fests, connectivity, and extracurricular activities.

I'm dissatisfied because of placement facilities.
Placements: Placement cells in college are least active in our course. College made us fill form for Vivanta placement but no call or mail has been received on that. Students are not allowed to do internships or outside placement during the course.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of college is basic neither too grand nor dangerous. College provides hostel facilities to students who required it. Hotel quality is quite good and food provided is tasty and healthy. Full security is provided to students.
Faculty: College provided us most great teachers and mentors, who make a comfortable and homely environment to raise any quires. The schedule and timings of classes are not fixed by them. Teachers of my course are good but rest college faculty members are very rude and least helpful towards students.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.Hons.) - Batch of 2020

Good Infrastructure and the best faculty members.
Placements: In our batch of 2017-20, around 60% of students were placed from our department. The salary package offered to all students was 3 LPA and less than that also. Top recruiting companies were Concentrix and InfoDeity. We didn't get any internships. Role offered was customer support executive by companies.
Infrastructure: Lecture halls, library, and auditorium were all available for our department. Hostels were pretty much decent. The quality of food being served in canteen is good with affordable prices for students. Sports and games were given attention. An indoor stadium is available for all such activities related to sports.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful in our department. The best thing about our college was that all semester exams were conducted on time. Course curriculum was more relevant, and it made students industry-ready. Apart from that, students also had to do self study in order to get good marks in semester exams. Semester exams were not that tough, we can easily score good marks if we learn all the notes properly. Pass percentage was maybe more than 33%.
Other: I chose this course because after doing this, I can pursue MBA, M.Com, and more fields related to commerce. The best thing about this course was that I could choose various fields after this, unlike BBA (if I had chosen this, I might get restricted to doing MBA only). Improvisation must be done with faculty members who check our exam papers. Since our department had large numbers of students, so they gave average marks to every student. Many extracurricular activities were organized throughout these 3 years of our college. Campus crowd and connectivity were very good here.

Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) - Batch of 2022

Best infrastructure and facilities, good placements in 2022.
Placements: 40-50% of students were almost placed from our department. Up to 3 LPA package was offered. Wipro and TCS were the top recruiting companies. We didn’t get any internship, but we had enrolled in a paid internship course by our college professor. Scholar Trainee role was offered.
Infrastructure: Our BCA department had a separate lab and lecture halls were also available at the top floor. Smart boards were also installed. Hostel facilities were also quite good with general rules, and mess and canteen food was also good and budget-friendly for students. NCC club was also very good. Apart from that, sports and games were also given special attention.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful in our department. And yes, they were highly qualified and knowledgeable professionals. The course was totally relevant and it really made us industry-ready, but apart from college work and class notes, we also had to do self-study to secure good placement. Semester exams were not that tough; if you paid attention to what faculty members taught us and made notes of every lecture, revision before sem exams could easily make you score a decent percentage. Passing percentage was maybe more than 40%.
Other: I chose this course because I further wanted to do MCA and wanted to pursue my career in the IT industry. Maybe faculty members should change so that students can get the coding environment. Students were motivated to take part in extracurricular activities. Connectivity for placements was not that awesome. Scholarship schemes were provided to the category students only. Merit-based scholarships were not provided to the students.

Grow together glow together.
Placements: Our college provides placement opportunities with companies like Tech Mahindra, TCS, Wipro, and others. A minimum percentage of 70% is required. Roles offered by the companies are Business Manager, Bank Officer, Customer Executive, and more.
Infrastructure: Everything is good. The entire campus is equipped with private Wi-Fi, and each floor has its own. There are also numerous labs for practical learning and students' understanding. Canteen is clean and well-maintained. College doesn't have sports facilities, but games are organized. The auditoriums in these institutions are spacious and serve multiple purposes, such as hosting public meetings, lectures, concerts, and other events. B.Com colleges may have an auditorium as a part of their infrastructure to host events and activities related to the college and its programs.
Faculty: Our college have the best teaching facilities. The B.Com colleges and universities in JWC have highly educated faculty members. All the members hold advanced degrees in their respective fields. Many professors are experienced scholars specializing in finance, taxation, and accounting, with dedicated years to learning and teaching.
Other: Our college covers a wide range of subjects, providing students with a broad understanding of commerce and related fields. The programs include practical training, such as internships or projects, which allow students to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world scenarios. Course is generally more affordable compared to other undergraduate programs, making it accessible to a wider range of students. Students also have the opportunity to select from various specializations, allowing them to focus on their specific areas of interest.
