More than just a degree - (covas parbhani) experience.
Placements: There is a batch of 85 students. The highest package is above 50 LPA. All private companies related to veterinary hire us. We have top government jobs, classes, and one officer like LDO (livestock department officer). We have much scope in this field, it's one of the best medical field types.
Infrastructure: Our campus is full of greenery and trees, creating a peaceful environment. We have modern e-classrooms, and 3-floor library with all required books. We have separate hostel facilities with a garden, indoor sports rooms, and large playgrounds for cricket, volleyball, football, and more.
Faculty: We have a pattern of internal and annual so basically 3 internals and have best of two and finally annual. Teachers are too good. They all have done masters in their subject. Quality of teaching is best, they also give us further information about our field related so overall it's too good.
Other: I choose these professions because I love to serve animals to treat animals, it gives me so peace it teaches us many things. We have many fests. We have annual gathering that last for 8 days and every day is somewhat unique on all occasions. There is a fest for us and campus is damm so good. They also provide scholarships to each student and fee for college is also low so everyone can afford them. Overall, it's best field and my college is best for this course. The connectivity is also good station and bus stand are at almost 1-1 KM

Offered by Nagpur Veterinary College

You will never regret here after joining.
Placements: There are around more than 80 seats for BVSC at NVC Nagpur. All are filled on the basis of NEET marks only. No private colleges and only 6 government colleges in Maharashtra for BVSC hence competition is very low in this field. After completing a degree you can for government jobs including class A officer jobs like L.D.O, V.O, Army (R.V.C), in railway sector, banks, business (poultry/dairy), research, etc. There is a separate placement cell in Mafsu. On average Rs 40,000 per month is minimum and for the highest sky is the limit.
Infrastructure: There are good working labs, library too with sufficient books, canteen has hygienic, tasty food. College supports every good extra talent you inert particularly for sports. Cricket, basketball, and badminton are the main games here. Some department labs are somewhat old, there is some more scope for improvement.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, especially in departments like anatomy and LPM. They will ensure no students will leave without any small knowledge of the subject. They make you strong enough that you will pass every competitive exam related to this field.
Other: This field is an unhidden gem, once you get here you will know how precious is this thing. You will never regret here after joining how much you have been brainwashed by society. There are extracurricular activities for overall development like NCC, wildlife crores clubs, etc.

Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry - Batch of 2028
Offered by Bombay Veterinary College

A balanced review of Mumbai Veterinary College.
Placements: No companies come to the college for placements. Most students opt for a master's or civil services. Others work in clinics. Others opt for vet-based companies. The average salary package offered is 5 LPA. It varies widely. Civil service is the best bet for students. Many work in dairy or animal product companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is almost morbid on the Goregoan Campus. The building is on the verge of collapse. The Parcel Campus is 100 years old and is a site of heritage. UG classes are held at Goregoan. Currently, a new building is being constructed at Goregoan Campus. The hostel for girls is well-maintained, albeit a little cramped.
Faculty: Faculty members have a lot of experience and degrees. Their teaching skills are super. The course is very relevant and a lot of practical classes help with the clinical aspect. The term exams are difficult to pass, but professors will guide students. The most difficult to pass is the annual exams.
Other: The course is on par with MBBS and makes the student a doctor of veterinary medicine. I wish the infrastructure and further scope were better. Fests are very less. The college is very academic oriented.

Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry - Batch of 2024
Offered by College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Udgir

It is the best college and it provides the best memories.
Placements: COVAS, Udgir has one of the best placements through GVK EMRI which is public-private partnership basis. Students get placed in different pharmaceutical companies like Alembic and Intas. It has diverse branch placements including the poultry industry like Venky. Professors have good connections in the Dairy industry like Gokul Kolhapur, Amul Gujarat, and Rajhans Sangamner. Students can get a package that ranges from 6-10 LPA in the final year.
Infrastructure: COVAS, Udgir has the best infrastructure. It has a specialised clinic with various resources like the department of surgery, medicine, and gynecology. There is a special department for para-clinical subjects having an electronic microscope. The hostel is good with awesome surroundings.
Faculty: COVAS, Udgir has PhD professor who got a fellowship through their research work. There are experienced and cooperative professors with complete dedication to teaching and learning as well. The course curriculum is quite vast but by daily notes and preparation we can complete it. The pass percentage is 98%.
Other: This course service for animals, so I chose it. The course needs to be in the semester pattern rather than an annual board pattern as it becomes easy. Events like social gatherings, plantations, clinical campuses, and farmer guidance take place. The fee is very low.

College infrastructure is average, but faculties and labs are the best; best placement in government
Placements: Veterinary doctor doesn't need to work under someone; he is like the owner of the whole company. There are plenty of private as well as gov jobs which we can apply for. Government jobs: there is a post of livestock development officer for which we need to pass MPSC. There are private jobs like we can work in Vantara and other private firms. They get salaries in 6 digits. Companies like Vantara, saguna foods etc. All students need to do an internship; it is compulsory.
Infrastructure: This college ranks in the top 5 in Maharashtra and has exemplary records. This college has the greatest infrastructure, well-organised labs, pathology, and physiology labs. The anatomy lab is quite much bigger and better than other colleges. The college hostel is the best to live in, clean, and has very best facilities. There is cleanliness in the campus as well as sports facilities. There is a ground for playing sports. I didn't think the college had any bad aspects. The faculty is of top class, and all faculty members are very much experienced.
Faculty: We have 3 subjects in the first year: anatomy, physiology, and livestock production management. In the second year, there is biochemistry, microbiology, animal genetics, and nutrition. I am currently in the 2nd year. The faculty are good. I chose this course as there is an increasing demand in the veterinary field nowadays. As there is an increasing scope abroad, I aspire to become a vet doctor abroad. Teaching methods are good. They taught us on whiteboards. All notes are provided. There are 3 unit tests yearly and final university papers. From 3, there is a best of 2. The difficult level is good. If you study all years, then it’s easy; otherwise, it will become tougher.

Be a good veterinarian with Bombay Veterinary College.
Placements: My batch consists of 100 students from the 2020 cohort, with 15% coming through the All India Quota and 85% from the State Quota. Additionally, there are provisions for Jammu & Kashmir and Defense Quotas. This course offers a promising future with numerous opportunities in fields like pet clinics, poultry farms, livestock farming, and agriculture.
Infrastructure: The hostel is in a prime location in Mumbai, near Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital. It offers more spacious accommodations compared to typical Mumbai standards. There are plenty of sports activities, and Marine Lines is the nearest and best spot to visit. For medical concerns, KEM Hospital provides excellent and cooperative services to us.
Faculty: The teaching quality is good with experienced professors, and there is a good atmosphere for learning and exposure. The passing percentage is good, with no difficulty in passing any exam. There is no need for much hard work or taking pressure for exams. Exams are held once annually.
Other: My course consists of 19 subjects in total: - 1st year: 3 subjects - 2nd year: 5 subjects - 3rd year: 7 subjects - 4th year: 4 subjects

With a NEET score of 200, your chances of admission to Bombay Veterinary College (BVC) in Mumbai are very slim. The General category closing rank in 2024 was around 49,000–78,000 (AI quota) . That equates to a NEET score over 350-400, so a 200 score falls short of the cutoff.

Admission to Mumbai Veterinary College for BVSc is through MHT CET (PCB group). Candidates must pass Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, meeting the required marks. Selection is via the State CET Cell counseling based on MHT CET merit.
