M.Sc. in Geology - Batch of 2024

Good infrastructure and helpful faculty.
Placements: I completed my M.Sc. (Geology) course last year. Although the placement opportunities in this field were very hard to get, our college was doing a tremendous job in this matter. A good number of geological companies come to our college every year. A good number of students from my class got campus placement with an average salary of 8 LPA. Almost every one of my classmates got internships during our course.
Infrastructure: College campus was very good, clean, and clear. All the classrooms, labs, and library were well-maintained and modern. Wi-Fi facility was provided to all the students. Hostels were available for both boys and girls. The rooms were clean and spacious. Canteen food quality was also good, and various foods were available. Medical facility is also available 24/7.
Faculty: All the faculty members and staff members were very helpful and had good behaviour. Teachers were very experienced and knowledgeable. We got every bit of help from them. Their teaching quality was very good. Course curriculum was very relevant. It helped us during placement process and after that. Semester exams were at a moderate level. Almost every one of our class got passed with good marks.

M.Sc. in Geology - Batch of 2024

Awesome infrastructure with good faculty.
Placements: Placement opportunities for a Geology student are usually minimal. In our batch, most of my friends got campus placements in reputed mining companies and GIS companies. A few opted for government jobs after completing their studies. They got a good package with good roles in these companies. The internship opportunity is also good at this college.
Infrastructure: All our campuses are very clean and clear. Rooms are cleaned twice a week by cleaners. Wi-Fi is provided for all students. Good furniture is available in the rooms, along with necessary items. The mess food is good, and there is a special meal at the end of each month. Hostel facilities are also available. A medical facility is available 24/7.
Faculty: Professors of our college were very helpful, qualified, experienced, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality of our faculty members was great. The course curriculum was relevant to the subject of study. The curriculum helped us during the placement process. The semester examinations were a little tough.
Other: Our college life is full of festivals and events.

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA Professional) - Batch of 2027

The infrastructure is top-notch. Placements are getting better.
Placements: In our college, last year's placements were higher than before, but since most students' parents already own businesses, they started working there. The highest package is 28 LPA, and the lowest is 3.5 LPA. Deloitte is the top recruiter. All students go for internships. The top role offered is a manager.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available everywhere. The infrastructure is good; it has air conditioning throughout, along with smart boards and projectors in each classroom. The hostel is very nice, with on-demand cleaning and 24/7 medical facilities. We have a basketball court inside the hostel, and there are many sports facilities on campus, including table tennis, gym, volleyball, cricket, football, badminton, and tennis courts. The food is also very good with a wide variety, including vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. During festivals, they prepare special meals.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, and most are Ph.D. scholars. The quality of teaching is good when you attend classes; if you only do it on your own, you won't grasp or learn much. The curriculum is relevant, though sometimes it can be overly theoretical, but they try to include assignments and projects that help a lot. The mid-semester is more difficult than the end sem. There is relatively grading so on that depends the passing on each subject and the performance of students.
Other: I chose this course because I had an interest in it. I got to learn a lot and the business fest teaches u real-life things. I wish there were more assignments and I hate one subject called managerial studies all theory wishes could make it interesting. You will all kinds of people everywhere due to the fest and all its activities. You will learn a lot.

M.Sc. in Geology - Batch of 2022

The campus and infrastructure are good. The hostels are well maintained.
Placements: Placements and job opportunities for a Geologist are usually minimal. But in our batch of 2006, most of my friends got campus placements in reputed mining companies and GIS companies. A few opted for government jobs after completing their studies. So, campus placement was okay at that time.
Infrastructure: In our college, rooms are cleaned twice a week by Zolo cleaners. Wi-Fi is provided with a data speed cap of 15 Mbps. Good furniture is available in the rooms, along with a bucket, mug, and even an umbrella supplied by Zolo. The mess food is good, and there is a special meal at the end of each month. Hostel registration usually depends on the CGPA or MET rank for freshers.
Faculty: Our course structure was awesome. They kept the basics that we studied in the B.Sc. so that it would be helpful for students from a non-geology background. The practicals were good. All the subjects had practicals. Even the Remote Sensing and GIS subject was superb.

It's a beautiful place to study with so much nature in and around Manipal.
Placements: Placements were very good in our college as the training and placement department. They helped students prepare for internships. They also keep us updated about all the internships and placement opportunities. They also helped us get training. Even if we did not get placements, it also offered networking with many tech technologies in most of the communities. So that we could actually get placed off-campus with the help of the network that this college provided.
Infrastructure: Campus life was considered the best for a college to be good. The college life at MIT was pretty good. The number of people, the quality of interactions, and good friends were found in large numbers. So many places were there to hang out on campus. It was the best for example, the student plaza or SP as we call it was the best place to hang out and meet new people every day. The books in the library cater to all the requirements for a student in academic as well as research purposes.
Faculty: Faculty members and staffs were really nice and very considerate. They always keep supporting students. There were enough faculty members to get and the best faculty members because everyone was very good. There was no fact to compare them. The exam structures were pretty basic here as we had to give class tests before giving the main and some exams. If people failed the class test, they were provided the proper membership to guide them so that they could clear the exams.

Teachers are very good and educated. They are very good researchers.
Placements: From the 6th semester, students are eligible for college placements. Our college provides paid internships, placement training, GD, communication training, and soft skills to help students. Siddharth, Microsoft, Indian Smart, and Pizza Hut provide development training with industrial experience and knowledge. It helps to increase the quality and efficiency of students.
Infrastructure: The annual fest named Effervescence is held between October and November. It has many memories to offer. The technical fest named Aparoksha is held in January. There is a sports fest named Asmita, which is held around March and April. The library has a good amount of books to offer. The library is a bit small. Campus life is a bit moderate. There are not many individual grounds for sports inside the campus.
Faculty: I think our faculty members are the best. They support us any time. The relationship between the faculty is nice. They keep their attention on every student. I am in my first year so in the 2024 batch, SPPU has changed the pattern so we don't have to give semester exams. We will give directly end-semester exams of 70 marks and other marks are in the teachers' hands.
