Worth it if focused on goals. Strong placements & top-tier infrastructure in India.
Placements: Our college is doing well in placements, and almost 90-95 percent of students are getting placed. The highest package is around 60 LPA, and the average is around 11 LPA. Top recruiters include TCS, Microsoft, Uber, and Infosys. Almost 70-80 percent of students get internships in their last year of college, as it is a part of the industrial training programme. In my course, software interns, SDE, and nowadays AI intern roles are getting offered.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure here at MIT Manipal is on par with most government colleges. The whole campus is covered with Wi-Fi, and we have multiple labs for each course. The hostel in which I stay is a non-AC common washrooms hostel, and the hygiene, considering that, is amazing, and there is absolutely zero complaint about that. We have multiple messes on the campus, and we can choose any according to our preference, and we can also change if we want.
Faculty: I think the curriculum is much better than what our seniors had, but still, there can be improvements in the curriculum, as we have certain courses that are not at all related to the stream we have chosen. Considering the changing world, our college changes its curriculum every 3-4 years. Faculty members are also very helpful and knowledgeable, with vast experience.
Other: I chose this course because it had a really good reputation. Also, if we ourselves are focused, then there are ample opportunities. Fees are a big issue, but if you can afford that, then one can think about the college as more than academics also, college has many things to offer, like fests, events and the amazing crowd.

B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2029
Offered by Manipal Institute of Technology, MAHE
4.6
4Placements5Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
MIT Manipal, one of the best tier 2 private colleges, is an absolutely cinema college.
Placements: For electronics and communications, you can expect 75-80% of students to be placed, average packages range around 11-12 Lacs, and the highest goes to 55 Lacs for software roles. Top recruitment companies are Deloitte, TCS, and JP Morgan for management roles, and Microsoft takes a great number of students. Internships are given to 30% of students, as an estimate. Top roles are for VLSI, telecommunication, and SDE.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi is exceedingly good, though restrictive, and it works fine. Labs and classrooms are top-notch, but the library lacks a little; it is very overcrowded, and a lot of the crowd is there for time pass. Overall, it's great as an environment. The hostels are good, and for the mess, the food is decent and edible, not like those government hostels. Sports facilities don't lack even a bit; all sports are available, and the cost isn't that much.
Faculty: The professors are helpful, mostly non-egoistic, and help throughout. The teaching quality is great, and the teachers do help and actually put in effort. The curriculum might be a little old, but practical learning is offered by student projects and learning clubs. Semester exams are hard; they do make you go through a rough time. The pass percentage is roughly 85-90%.
Other: I decided to choose this course to enter the VLSI industry; the course is highly in demand and can help you get into any field of electronics as well if you want to pursue careers like finance and management. Maybe the faculty can be improved a little for my specific course. Events, etc., are very good; all kinds of singers come for the fests, and mostly fests are free as MAHE conducts 6-7 fests all through the year, so you won't be bored in this college. Scholarships are offered to a lot of people.

Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) - Batch of 2027
Offered by Manipal School of Architecture and Planning, Manipal Academy of Higher Education
4.2
3Placements5Infrastructure4Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
I am satisfied with the college. It has good faculty members and facilities.
Placements: MSAP placements are existent but limited. It is offered to only the best students of the batch for the Bachelor of Architecture. It has a very active aluminium community that recruits students on behalf of their firms. Out of the selective group of students, a fair number of students do get placed.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is top-notch with smartboards for education, highly equipped printing labs, 3d printing labs, VR labs, a library with all the books we need, auditoriums, work studios, a building materials lab, survey labs, good Wi-Fi, and classrooms with plenty of light, air, and charging points. Hostels are well-maintained and standard. There are both AC and non-AC rooms with attached and non-attached bathrooms, from single to triple sharing for female and male, with Wi-Fi. There are staff members for cleaning and laundry services. There are 4-5 types of mess facilities, and we can sign up for them with good, tasty, and hygienic food. Medical facilities are also available here.
Faculty: Our college has great and qualified faculty members. They are very helpful and attentive to our doubts and needs. They are master's or PhD-qualified. The course curriculum has changed for the recent batches, and they've made it more relevant now. There are great workshops and seminars for training, practicing, and influential professionals, which are organised for students to keep them aware of the industry and practices. It has very up-to-date faculty members.

B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2029
Offered by Manipal Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, Manipal Academy of Higher Education
2.8
3Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty2Crowd & Campus Life2Value for Money
The college is not worth the fee it charges. It is better join another college.
Placements: College is new, so we don't know much about placements yet. Placements are merged with the main campus only, so one can see the companies coming through that only, but placements won't be merged for the upcoming batches. So it will be like a gamble.
Infrastructure: The campus is average and small compared to other colleges. The mess food is good. On paper, they show that the campus is spread over 80 acres, but that is not true. The crowd is too much compared to the size of the campus, which makes the college look crowded. There are so many restrictions also.
Faculty: Exams are easy, and professors are also good. The course curriculum is good, and we will get enough time for extracurricular activities or whatever we want. They give proper resources. Semester exams are not that hard, so one can score a good CGPA.

Offered by Manipal Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, Manipal Academy of Higher Education
4.2

Modern infrastructure and growing campus life but placement and facility experience is stabilizing.
Placements: Good placements, 80 percent people placed in 2025 placement cycle. The highest package is 69 LPA and average is 12 LPA, the lowest being 3-4 LPA. Top recruiters being Amazon, Microsoft, Bosch, Samsung, Shell. Roles offered included software engineer, data analyst, and consulting analyst.
Infrastructure: Amazing infrastructure and facilities. Classrooms are modern and Wi-Fi enabled with digital teaching aids such as smart-boards, projectors. Clean and well-maintained hostels. There are indoor as well as outdoor sports facilities. There is an on-campus clinic and 2 mess services with decent food.
Faculty: The teachers are really helpful and the course curriculum is relevant. Exams are difficult. Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable and are always willing to help with doubts. The curriculum has both theoretical and practical elements and generally helps students to be industry ready.
Other: I chose this institution because of MIT’s brand value under MAHE. It is industry-oriented engineering curriculum. Some parts of the curriculum can be updated to better match current industry. There are regular club activities, tech fests, and cultural fests.

B.A. in Media and Communication - Batch of 2028
Offered by Manipal Institute of Communication, Manipal Academy of Higher Education

Absolutely satisfied with my experience in MIC.
Placements: Around 70 to 80 percent of students who sit for placements get placed, while the rest usually opt for higher studies, family businesses, freelancing or start ups. The average package range between 4 to 6 LPA, with the highest packages going up to around 10 to 12 LPA in good years, especially for marketing, branding and corporate communication roles.
Infrastructure: Hostels are decent with regular cleaning, security and basic facilities. The mess food is average. Sometimes good, sometimes repetitive but there are many food options on and around campus. Medical facilities, sports grounds, gyms and student activity centers are easily accessible and well maintained.
Faculty: Exams are moderate in difficulty. If you attend classes, submit assignments and participate in projects, it is easy to pass and score well. The pass percentage is high, usually above 90 percent, but scoring very high requires consistent work and creativity. The faculty at MIC is knowledgeable and many teachers have industry experience in media, branding, journalism and marketing. Teaching is mostly practical, involving presentations, case studies, group projects and real world assignments rather than just theory. The curriculum is relevant for students who want to work in media, marketing, PR, corporate communication and branding.
Other: I chose MIC because it offers a rare mix of business, media, branding and communication rather than a purely theoretical BBA. The biggest strength of this course is how practical it is. Some subjects feel a bit repetitive, but overall the environment, peer group, Manipal campus life and networking opportunities make it worth it.
