Yes, you can take admission at Manipal Institute of communication with a 70 percent in Class 12. Although the minimum Class 12  percentage required to take admission is 45 percent. But you cannot take admission by only Class 12 score. An entrance exam which is MET (Manipal entrance test) is to be cleared. This entrance test is conducted by the Institute itself. The student need to have a valid score in the above mentioned entrance exam and the student must quality in the cutoff also. The cutoff will be released according to the applications and seat intake. The student have to qualify in the entrance exam as well as in the cutoff in order to get the admission.

It started in the year 1978 under Mysore University but within a few years came under Mangalore University in 1980. Since the year 2010 it has been part of Mahipal Academy of higher Education or MAHE in short. Yes you can definitely get admission for undergraduate courses, in this Institute with just about 70% marks in your 12th examination. However for getting admission in Bachelor of architecture, a student has to pass an examination conducted nationally called NATA. As per the data available, to get admission into Manipal a student has to score above 120 in this examination. For getting admission into design there is no entrance exam whatsoever. MSAP is ranked quite high amongst its peers across the country. In fact the NIRF ranking of this institute is #6. It also has NAAC grading of A+. Both these facts make students flock to this institute in large numbers and as a result even though there is no entrance examination a student need to score quite high in 12th examination. At Manipal Institute of communication, M.A. has better placement than B.Sc. This is because MA is a PG course and PG courses have better placements than UG courses. The salary packages of PG courses are also better. In the 2022 placement drive, the median package offered to PG students was 7 LPA and UG students were offered 3.5 LPA  average package. The Masters students have a better knowledge than the UG students because of internships etc. But for doing MA, a graduation degree with minimum 45 perfect is required. In UG courses 62 out of 135 students were placed. While in PG courses, 33 out of 54 students were placed. So the ratio of students getting placed is more in Master courses.
