MNNIT Allahabad Residential and Hostel Facilities

There are seven Boys and two Girls' hostels at present in the Institute. The capacity of the boys' hostel is 1800 (1044 single-seated rooms and 252 triple-seated rooms ), and that of the girls' hostel is 145. Room allotment is done in such a way that students from different parts of the country freely intermingle with each other, depicting national integration. Hostel messes are run on a non-profit and non-loss basis. The messes are managed by nominated representatives of students under the overall supervision of wardens. The foreign students run their separate mess, known as the international mess. In this mess, non-vegetarian food is also served.

The newly admitted boys are kept in separate hostels away from senior students to avoid ragging. The hostel administration grants financial assistance to meet the mess bills to many needy students. One new hostel has also been constructed to accommodate an additional number of students. Several new facilities are being provided in the girls' hostel, viz., washing machines, refrigerators, computers, and internet connectivity. One PCO booth is also working in the girls' hostel campus.

There is a team of wardens in charge and a warden for each of the hostels. They look after the affairs of the room allocation to the individual students and issue the 'Concession Forms' for the students going home during the Institute vacations. All the student complaints regarding the room maintenance are routed through the warden of the hostel to the concerned authorities.

Read this before taking admission in MNNIT.

Infrastructure: It was quite surprising for me to find that the hostel mess has AC. Apart from that, there are many facilities like washing machines, AC in hostel common rooms, refrigerators in the mess for common use, and an induction in the mess for late-night cooking. Wi-Fi is available in hostels and the library, and it works okay. The food is decent to good in taste, and hygiene is properly maintained. There is a dispensary near the girls’ hostel. A separate gym is available for boys and girls.

Great network, good college life, and not good infrastructure.

Infrastructure: The college has AC but the overall infrastructure is not that great because the buildings are old. The first-year girls hostel and final year boys hostel are 5-star level so it's better than most of the other colleges. Wi-Fi is there, labs are there and well-equipped. Mess food quality is good, edible but not great. Dispensary and clinic are there. Night canteen exists.

NIT Allahabad- Consider it.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not that bad but there has been improvement in the last 2 years. Classrooms have been converted into centralised AC rooms. The hostel rooms have LAN service which is okay. The mess food is not that good and sports facilities are good. Lawn tennis and basketball courts are there. The gym is there. There are two grounds for cricket and football.

It has excellent tech placements and coding culture. The infrastructure needs an upgrade.

Infrastructure: The academic buildings and labs are good enough for studies and practical work. Wi-Fi and library facilities are useful for students. Hostel life is enjoyable, though maintenance and cleanliness can be improved in some hostels. A gym is available for free. There is no need to pay extra for it.

Absolutely satisfied because of placements and college life.

Infrastructure: In our hostels, rooms are divided into two parts. One for the bedroom and one for the study area. Although we do not have ACs, we can use coolers. There is one canteen and two mess facilities for first-year hostels, while second, third, and fourth-year students have multiple canteens and mess facilities. Some classrooms are large lecture halls equipped with ACs, while others are not. The mess food is quite average, but the canteens, especially in senior hostels, are good. The first-year hostel c...

Good in placement for CSE.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is below expectations. Classrooms are below average. The library and labs are good, though. The college provides internet through LAN in the hostel, which enables you to browse. No desktop apps, no games will run on LAN. In the first year, the hostel is good with good food quality and just a single canteen in the hostel itself. The college provides medical facilities where you can get free medicine if prescribed by a doctor and stamped. Sports and games are conducted by the at...

College has a lot of potential.

Infrastructure: The classrooms are kind of old but the hostel is good. Labs are good but the equipment in labs is old and sometimes doesn't work. Wi-Fi is there. The library is there but it close at 10:00 PM. Food in the mess is good. Late-night canteen is there but it's not free. There's a dispensary for medical issues and is free for checkups and free medicine (except for some of them). We get health insurance too. Sports facilities are good. There's a ground, tennis court, badminton court, and a basketball c...

College review of MNNIT Allahabad.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good, not very good. The college campus is very small. The college campus is 222 acre but 100 acre boys ' hostel and the 122-acre girls' hostel are not allowed for boys, as it is on the girls' side. Many sports ground but not in good condition.

Top tier placements but can’t say the same for the infrastructure.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is one thing that our college lacks and isn’t able to compete with other Tier-1 colleges. It is suggested not to come expecting some luxurious campus experience, but you will surely get every facility essential for survival. The hostels are well maintained, but you shouldn’t expect AC rooms or something fancy. The mess food is good and edible.

Dissatisfied with the faculty, but the college is good because of the students and the environment.

Infrastructure: Average lab instruments are not in good working condition. Wi-Fi is good; classrooms are typically old, built with damaged batches and are not that well-maintained. The floor of the hostel is messed up, so crowded, and water and cleaning facilities are not properly available. The mess is okay, not that good. Sports facilities are in good condition, and proper practice is active for inter-college matches.

College is good. Placement is only good for courses CSE and ECE.

Infrastructure: Hostel infrastructure is good, you get high-speed internet 24/7, and there will be 24/7 electricity, but the mess food is not so good, it is just okay for filling your stomach, but it is not tasty. The medical facility is good, you get Rs. 50,000 insurance per year, and sports activity is okay.

College is fine, placements are good. Campus life is decent.

Infrastructure: The library is fine. It has a lot of books and online resources. The hostel for first years is also good. Don't believe people who want to be relatable. Hostel food and facilities are quite nice, the food is fine, and there are three food outlets on campus. The mess is pure veg, so it's a good option for those who don't want non-veg. Dissatisfied with the infrastructure, the faculty is good, but 75% attendance is mandatory.

Infrastructure: Decent infrastructure of classrooms and labs, including a good LAN connection in labs. Well-maintained library with over a thousand books for the course and other interests. The hostel for the first year is decent, LAN connections are available in all rooms. Only the vegetarian mess is present in the hostel, providing decent food. One canteen is in the hostel which is open late at night, and one stationery shop is also in the hostel.

Best placements. Average infrastructure. Average sports facilities.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite average if I compare this college to other colleges like NIT Jaipur. 1st year and 4th year hostels are good, but 2nd and 3rd year hostels have small rooms. Mess food is average. The internet connection is not good enough to play games unless you have 5G.
