The program is designed according to the NCTE Recognition Norms and Procedures, 2014, and the curriculum is approved as per NCTE guidelines.
The program has the following objectives:
1. To develop a critical awareness regarding the realities of Indian life.
2. To develop such capabilities as may be necessary for the realization of national goals.
The eligibility criteria for the program are:
1. Candidates with at least 50% marks in Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree in Science/Social Science/Humanities/Commerce or Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks.
2. He/She must be a graduate from The M. S. University of Baroda or from any other University recognized as an equivalent for the purpose.
3. He/She must have taken the Bachelor's Degree in the 10+2+3 or 11+4 pattern.
4. He/She must have offered English as one of the subjects at the higher Secondary/College or University Level.
The program has a intake of 110 students, with 44 seats in Science Stream, 44 seats in Arts and Humanities, and 22 seats in Commerce. The program is of two years duration, with four semesters, and can be completed in a maximum of four years from the date of admission.
