Talking about the companies that come for recruiting there are reputed names like Schneider Electric, BHEL, Eicher, BGR energy Bharat Bijlee. But many students from circuital branches also opt for roles in IT/CS and management as such. In these sectors we have some really big names like Amazon, Google, Facebook in tech and Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley, Delloite in Finance/management role. The training and placement cell of NIT Trichy is well managed and every year it brings down some of the best companies to the campus. NIT Trichy is constantly working on making its students industry ready and it is showcased in the placement statistics.

NIT -Surathkal is said to be in top 3 but its position keeps on fluctuating. If we see the MHRD ranking for engineering colleges NIT, Trichy stands at 11th rank while NIT, Warangal stands at 22nd rank. Coming to the CSE department, the curriculum of both the colleges is similar. The faculty in both the colleges is comparable as they follow government rules for recruitment of professors. Coming to the placements. In 2017 NIT, Surathkal saw a placement of 100% for the CSE department while NIT-Trichy also had 100% placement for 2017. According to me, the industry as such sees NIT-Trichy's students as more employable than that of NIT-Surathkal's. Some people may disagree. Apart from academics, NIT-Trichy focuses on all-round development of its students through various extra curricular activities. There are clubs like Delta and Spyder where students can learn and do projects on app dev, web dev, etc. ,. .

That being said, I would like to suggest you that you should only take up chemical engineering if you are passionate about the field and not considering the placement as a factor of your choice. Chemical course at NIT, Tiruchirappalli would be a fun course for you as any other student of the college. The college managers to have a total batch placement percentage of 100% and almost every student gets placed at which level company he wishes to be placed at. NIT-Trichy is ranked 11 according to the MHRD rankings while NIT-Warangal is ranked at 34. But the question asked bothers me more. We can't compare two different branches in different colleges. Actually comparing different branches from the same college is also not a good idea. Branch is not a thing which can be termed as good or bad or better than other. Branch should be chosen only on basis of one's personal interest and passion for it. If you don't know which ones better suited for you, I would recommend to going to college's website and comparing the curriculum of both the branches. It will surely help you in making a decision. Seeing what subjects you will be studying for the next 4 years will give you a fair idea whether you like a branch or not. For detailed curriculum of NIT Warangal branches visit:http://www.nitw.ac.in/main/academics/schemes-syllabus/.
