The University conducts its own entrance test for admission to PhD programme. Any candidate, who has done master’s in the relevant discipline of law, can apply for the same. The final selection of students will be based on the entrance test scores and the performance in PI. Eligibility criteria for the PhD programme is given below:

NLIU Bhopal offers a PhD programme in three different disciplines of Law. PhD is offered with a minimum course duration of two to three years and a maximum of six. The University conducts its own entrance test for admission to PhD programme. Any candidate, who has done master’s in the relevant discipline, can apply for the same. However, as per the NLIU Bhopal cutoff 2023, the Round 1 closing rank ranged from 463 to 494. So, considering the NLIU Bhopal previous year cutoff, this year it is expected that the Round 1 cutoff will range between 460 to 500.
