CLAT Application Form 2024 (OUT): Online CLAT Registration Link, Fees & Participating NLUs

The online application form of CLAT 2024 was released on July 1, 2023 as per the latest notification. The CLAT 2024 Application process is currently underway. Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs)  released the CLAT 2024 application form on July 1, 2023. The last date for CLAT 2024 Registration is on or before November 3, 2023. The direct link to fill out the application form of CLAT 2024 exam has been mentioned below. CLAT 2024 Exam Date is December 3, 2023. Candidates must note that CLAT 2024 Application Form can be filled only online. Only those candidates who will fill CLAT Application Form 2024, will be able to appear for the CLAT Exam.

The CLAT 2024 eligibility for UG and PG courses are as under: 

UG CLAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria: Candidates appearing for CLAT UG 2024 can check the eligibility below: 

• Candidates must secure the following minimum percentage of marks in their qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2 or an equivalent examination):
• Forty five percent (45%) marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to General / OBC / PWD / NRI / PIO / OCI categories
• Forty Percent (40%) marks or equivalent in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.
• Candidates who may be appearing for their qualifying examination in March/ April, 2023 are also eligible to appear for the CLAT 2023 examination. However, they shall be required to produce an evidence of their passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which they shall lose their right to be considered for admission"

PG CLAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria: Candidates appearing for CLAT PG 2024 can check the eligbility below:

• An LL.B. Degree or an equivalent examination with a minimum of Fifty percent (50%) marks or its equivalent grade
• In case of candidates belonging to General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI categories and Forty-Five percent (45%) marks or its equivalent grade
• In case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories
• Candidates appearing for their qualifying examination in April/May 2023 are also eligible to apply.

Candidates must note that they need to attain the prescribed CLAT 2024 age limit to take part in CLAT Exam 2024. As per the official eligibility criteria of the CLAT 2024, there is no age-limit criteria for candidates to appear in CLAT UG 2024 or CLAT PG 2024 exam. However, it is mandatory for candidates to fulfill other basic educational requirements, to take part in the CLAT Exam 2024.

Candidates must pass Class 12 examination by April/May 2024 and submit the passing certificates at the time of admission.
To be eligible for the CLAT PG 2024, you must have a minimum percentage of 50 per cent in LLB or any other equivalent degree from a recognised university.

Candidates who have completed class 12th or equivalent in any stream from a recognised board can appear for CLAT 2024 Exam. Candidates must note that in order to apply they should have scored minimum 45 percentage marks in Class 12th.This is only applicable for General/ OBC / PWD / NRI / PIO / OCI categories. Foreign nationals cannot appear for CLAT. There is no minimum age requirement to apply for the exam. Candidates must note that CLAT 2024 Exam is scheduled to be held on December 3. 

After submitting the application form, the candidate have to pay the application or exam fee, which is category-specific. Candidates can pay the application fee in online mode using (debit card/credit card/net banking). The mode of application fee payment is online.

All those candidates who will be mentioning their cast during the application form submission must note that they will require to submit the common reservation or category certificates required during CLAT counseling include: 1. Caste Certificate: - Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), or Other Backward Classes (OBC) need to provide a valid caste certificate.

Candidates seeking admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered at National Law Universities (NLUs) can apply for CLAT 2024 on or before November 3, 2023. CLAT 2024 registration fee is INR 4,000 for general category candidates and INR 3,500 for SC, ST and BPL candidates. In case, aspirant wish to get previous year question papers, they have to pay INR 500 while filling up the CLAT 2024 Application Form.  

Before you begin with the CLAT application process, keep the below-mentioned items ready: 

• A working email ID and mobile number
• Class 10 and 12 mark sheets
• ID and address proof (Aadhaar Card/Driving License/PAN Card, etc.)
• Scanned Passport size photograph (Format: JPEG)
• Scanned signature (Format: JPEG)
• Category certificate if applying under SC/ST/OBC category
• Relevant certificate issued by a competent authority if applying as PwD or BPL candidate

The CLAT 2024 eligibility criteria for admission to UG courses is - a minimum of 45 per cent marks in class 12, and for the PG course is - a bachelor's law degree with at least 50 per cent marks.

There is no option to fill out the CLAT 2024 application form in offline mode. Also, the candidate does not have the option to take printout of the online application form, fill it, and submit it at the admission office. Instead, the entire application process has to be completed online. So, to fill out the form, go the CLAT 2024 admission portal, click on the application link, and complete the application process. Note that the application form will be hosted at the UCEED 2024 web portal, which will be launched once application form opens.

CLAT Application Form 2024: Important points to remember:

All those candidates who have applied for CLAT 2024 and want to make a correction to the already submitted form must note that CLAT 2024 Application Correction Window is not opened by the consortium after the conclusion of CLAT 2024 Registration. That means CLAT 2024 Application Correction has to be done by the individuals before the last date. 2. Click on the ‘Forgot Password’ link in the Login window
3. Enter the registered mobile number and click on ‘Request OTP’
4. Enter the One Time Password (OTP) received on mobile
5. Create a new password and proceed to login 

Once you retrieve your password, login and your registration ID will be reflected on your screen.

The CLAT Exam 2023 is scheduled to be held on December 3, 2023. CLAT admit card 2024 will be issued at least 15 days before the exam date. Before releasing the admit card, the exam authority will also allow candidates to make one last edition in their application details. Once the CLAT Correction Window 2024 is closed, candidates won't be able to make any changes. Candidates must note that they will also be getting an option to make changes to their preferred exam cities before the CLAT 2024 admit card is issued. For the five-year LL.B. - The integrated law programme is offered by all the 24 NLUs, with the seat intake standing at 3,213 seats. For the one-year LL. M. - The programme is offered by 21 NLUs, which have a combined intake of 1,217 seats. The full form of CLAT is Common Law Admission Test. CLAT is a national-level entrance exam that is conducted for admission to Undergraduate B.A. LL.B. BBA LL.B.Com LL.B.Sc. LL.B. And Postgraduate LL. M. courses offered by the participating National Law Universities. The entrance exam is held in pen-paper mode for two hours. Candidates qualifying CLAT are then shortlisted for admission to the 23 NLUs through Centralized Counselling Process. CLAT exam scores are also accepted by private universities that have signed MOU with the consortium of NLUs as well as, top private law colleges in India. Meanwhile, many popular PSUs use CLAT PG scores for recruitment purposes. Therefore, CLAT for UG candidates serves the purpose of admission, and for PG candidates admissions and recruitment process.

The documents required to apply for CLAT 2024 are:

1. A scanned photograph
2. A scanned signature
3. Scanned copies of class 10 and 12 mark sheets
4. A scanned copy of the category certificate (if applicable)
5. A scanned copy of the receipt of the application fee payment

The photographs and signatures must be in JPEG format and the file size must not exceed 200 KB and 100 KB respectively. The mark sheets and category certificates must be in PDF format and the file size must not exceed 2 MB each. The receipt of the application fee payment must also be in PDF format and the file size must not exceed 2 MB.
