B.E. in Computer Science Engineering - Batch of 2026

This is one of the good colleges for placements.
Placements: 30%–40% of students get placed both on-campus and off-campus. The highest package goes up to around 10 LPA, while some roles offer around Rs. 12,000 per month. Companies like LTM, Deloitte, Infosys, Cognizant, and Zerocode HR visit the campus. Around 50% of roles include Graduate Engineer Trainee, Software Engineer Trainee, Automation Engineer, Testing, and other similar roles.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available 24 hours a day in all labs to complete our work. Labs are well designed with projectors. There are over 2000 monitors in the college. There is a canteen that provides fresh and essential food items. Students can play different sports, and all the required facilities are available.
Faculty: Faculty is good at explaining concepts. They not only teach theory but also help us improve practical knowledge. The curriculum is designed in a way that helps us cover the required skills for placements. If we study well, we can easily pass.
Other: We are a batch of 76 students. I have opted for Computer Science and Engineering. I got placed in LTM as a Graduate Engineer Trainee. Scholarships are provided by the government for all four years.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2027

Government City College exclusively.
Placements: Students who score 75% and above will get a seat in City College. Companies like Google and Amazon provide internship opportunities to students in their second and third years. The college also offers opportunities in roles such as Marketing Analyst, Financial Advisor, Sales Executive, Accountant, and Sales Manager.
Infrastructure: This college is one of Hyderabad's heritage institutions. It is over 108 years old. Classrooms and laboratories are neat and clean. It also has one of the largest libraries in Hyderabad, with more than 4,000 books. The college provides a gym and sports facilities for games such as basketball and volleyball.
Faculty: Faculty members are good, friendly, and well-educated. Classes start around 9:30 AM. There is a break after every class. So that students can relax and prepare for the next session. Attendance is mandatory to write examinations. Students need to score above 40 marks to pass the exams.
Other: I chose B.Com Finance because I want to pursue CMA, and a finance background helps me achieve that goal. Faculty explains concepts very well. I think the college should organize more field trips to help students understand subjects more clearly. The college celebrates festivals such as Bonalu and Holi, which are very enjoyable. Students come from all over India. They are allowing us to learn new languages and interact with different cultures and traditions. College conducts Sports Week and various other activities. NCC and NSS provide many opportunities for students.

Absolutely satisfied and perfect for achieving a job.
Placements: It had a strong placement record. Around 35% of students were placed in B.Com IT. The highest package was 6.05 LPA. The average package was 4.4 LPA, and the lowest was 3.5 LPA. Recruiting companies included Deloitte, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and Amazon. From my course, students were selected for internships at TCS and Amazon. The top roles offered were Financial Analyst, Data-Based Business Analyst, and IT Support Specialist.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi was not available for students. Labs were working properly. Classrooms were neat and spacious. The library was also very good, with a lot of informative books. We could find every type of related book there. It provided a peaceful environment. The canteen was very good and served tasty snacks. The short break duration was 35 minutes.
Faculty: Teachers and staff were very knowledgeable and always helpful. The teaching quality did not compromise. Semester exams were sometimes hard. The pass percentage was 95 percent this year. The question paper was mostly moderate, and students could pass easily.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested in accounts as well as technology. The best thing about this course was that we could achieve both finance and technology-related jobs. I wished to reduce some parts of the syllabus. Events happened regularly in the college, generally once a week. The college organized many fests for student activity. The campus surroundings were not that good. Scholarships were not available in this college because it was an autonomous college. The campus was mostly crowded.

B.E. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2024
Offered by Matrusri Engineering College

A good choice for engineering aspirants in Hyderabad.
Placements: The highest package was 32 LPA. Around 66 companies visited the campus. Around 214 job offers were made. Major recruiters included Cognizant, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, IBM, Capgemini, Amazon, and Tech Mahindra. CSE had the highest number of placements among branches. The placement percentage was 70 to 80 percent.
Infrastructure: There were well-equipped laboratories for all departments. Around 500 LAN-connected computer systems were available. There was high-speed internet and Wi-Fi-enabled campus. There were smart classrooms with projectors and audio-visual teaching aids. There were air-conditioned computer labs and seminar halls.
Faculty: Faculty were considered knowledgeable and supportive. There was good faculty-student interaction in many departments. There were regular assignments, slip tests, mid exams, projects, and mentoring. There were experienced senior professors especially in core subjects. Some students felt teaching methods were traditional.
Other: Technical quizzes, coding competitions, project exhibitions, poster presentations, CAD competitions, circuit design, events, machine assembly contests, technical treasure hunts, robotics and engineering-based competitions were conducted.

CBIT has good placements and good infrastructure.
Placements: The placements are not bad in CBIT. If you get placed, you will get a minimum package if you maintain above 8 CGPA. If you are expecting high packages, you should maintain above 9.5 CGPA. Many companies come to CBIT. The highest package in CBIT is 45 lakhs. It is one of the best colleges in Telangana.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very beautiful with greenery. Especially the ECE block looks very good, and the ECE seminar hall is better compared to other departments. Many blocks in CBIT are beautiful. Classrooms are okay, and labs are also okay, but some labs have problems.
Faculty: Faculty is highly qualified and experienced. Many faculty members hold Ph.D. degrees. However, some faculty members and lab technicians are not very experienced. The HODs are very strict. Faculty members do not use mobile phones during class hours.

Great infrastructure, but not accredited.
Placements: There were almost 0 placements for the Agriculture department every year. The roles offered were not relevant to the field as well. The roles that our seniors and we saw were in teaching and banking. None of them were related to agriculture in general. Be aware of that.
Infrastructure: Equipment and infrastructure needed renovation. The college was okay, but it needed a lot of renovation and improvement. Practical experience was okayish. For individuals who were actually serious about a degree in the agriculture field, it was better to go through the PJTSAU entrance exam and get a seat there.
Faculty: Faculty was nice. The curriculum felt good, but it was not industry-worthy. The only good thing was that they covered every part of the syllabus very well.
Other: It was not ICAR accredited, but it was still worth studying if you had the confidence that you would succeed in the industry, no matter what. The fact that it was not accredited made it not a strong choice, and the recent admission strength also reflected that. Accreditation played a major role when it came to pursuing agriculture as a career option.
