The Basic qualification required to get a seat in Osmania University is that one should pass class 12th with 60% or more. The students who appear for its entrance exams among the general category and OBC students should clear the entrance exams with around 55% or more and SC and ST students should clear the exams with about 35% or more, after which seat allotment will be done based on the marks and rank obtained by the students.

No, you cannot get direct admission at Osmania University, it does not intake students without its entrance exam which is DOST. Being one of the most prestigious and the oldest Universities it has its own rules and regulations. So, one cannot directly get a seat in Osmania University without writing DOST entrance exam. There are many phases in DOST. We should apply for it and wait for the allotment of seats for students. After which there will be counselling done for the students who got seat in different courses in that college.

Yes, you can also join Osmania University without GATE because there are many more exams from which we can join Osmania University like TSICET, CMAT, APECET, TS EAMCET etc. These are the national-level exams held in India through which we can join Osmania University by getting certain ranks which differs for different exams.
