PJTSAU BSc Courses & Fees 2025: Eligibility, Fees, Placements, How to Apply

The PJTSAU BSc fees is INR 45,550 per annum for course duration of four years as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is, however, subject to changes and hence, is indicative. PJTSAU makes BSc admissions based on students’ performance and score in EAMCET/ ICAR UG. However, in order to be eligible to apply for PJTSAU BSc courses, a candidate must have obtained 50% in Class 12. In addition to that, the candidates must have studied English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology as mandatory subjects in Class 12. For the SC/ST/PH category students, the university provides relaxation of upto 5% in minimum marks requirement.

Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University admits students to its BSc Hons in Agriculture and BSc Hons Community Science on basis of candidates’ performance in EAMCET/ICAR-UG. Interested candidates can apply for either of the exam scores. Moreover, the candidates must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in Class 12 from a recognised board.

Once the exam results are out, the university releases its application form for students to apply for desired BSc course. After completion of the application stage, the admission committee prepares a rank list based on the applicants’ scores in respective exams. Based on that rank list, students are shortlisted for reporting to the institute. These students must pay the prescribed fees to complete the admission process.

PJTSAU offers BSc course with two specialisation Agriculture and Community Science. Students graduation from either of the course have promising career. PJTSAU provides epical provision for candidates belonging to families of Agriculturists (Farmers). The university reserves 40% of the seats in the PJTSAU & SKLTSHU and 25% in PVNRTVU for candidates coming from families of Agriculturists (Farmers) owning not less than one acre of land either in the name of the parents or in the name of the candidate and who have studied for a minimum of 4 years in schools located in Non-Municipal areas during their period of study from 1st class to 12th class.

Note: If the land is owned by grandfather, grandmother or guardian or any other relation other than mother or father, such land is not acceptable under farmer quota.

PJTSAU accepts EAMCET scores for admissions to its BSc Hons in Agriculture and BSc in Community Science. Students are required to appear for EAMCET (conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, KAKINADA on behalf of APSCHE) and submit their EAMCET scores while filling the PJTSAU application form. The EAMCET exam is usually conducted in the month of May. 

Yes, admissions to PJTSAU BSc courses are entrance based. Students seeking admission in the aforementioned course must appear for either EAMCET or ICAR-UG. Once results for both the exams are out, students will be able to fill out the university’s application form with their exam score. Based on the scores, the university then produces a rank list and shortlists students for admission. At PJTSAU, 20% seats are reserved for admissions based on ICAR UG exam. For the rest of the seats, admissions are made based on EAMCET exam scores.

In order to be eligible to apply for BSc (Hons) Agriculture, BSc (Hons) Horticulture at PJTSAU, the candidate must have completed 17 years of age with an upper age limit of 22 years for all the candidates for SC/ST candidates and Physically Challenged candidates, the university provides relaxation in the prescribed upper age limit. The upper age limit is 25 years in respect of SC and ST candidates; and 27 years for Physically Challenged candidates as on 31st December of the year of admission.

Taking admission is not tough like the minimum eligibility for UG admission at PJSTAU is the candidate should have passed 10+2 examination from a recognised board. For admission to PG courses, a candidate must possess Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline from a recognised university. The best course that I encountered is which I choose i.e. Bsc (Hons)Agriculture it was the most demanding course and the future of the world.  There re many support facilities provided for the students to make our future secure. All the professors are educated so the lectures are excellent. We also get individual time with them and guidance so it was easy to pass the exams. 

Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University offers seats to candidates in BSc (Hons) course based on TG-EAPCET scores. Such aspirants are then further required to participate in offline counselling conducted by PJTSAU. Aspirants can also get admission based on CUET-UG score followed by ICAR Counselling at All India Level.

However, as per the last year schedule, the applications usually open in first week of November and closes by last week of November for PG and PhD courses. The university also opens the application portal for correction for two days after completion of registration process.

• In case the admitted candidate cancels his or her seat before the closure of admission, an amount of INR 4,000 (General) and INR 2,000 (SC/ ST/ PwD) is collected as processing fee. The remainning fee already paid during admission is refunded.
• In case the admitted candidate cancels his or her seat after the closure of admission, the candidate lose the fee already paid (except the caution deposit). Additionally, he or she need to pay an amount of INR 10,000 (General) and INR 5,000 (SC/ ST/ PwD) towards processing fee.
