As per the NIRF 2022 rankings, PRSU was ranked 78 All India and second among the Chhattisgarh colleges. The state university is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Direct admission is not available for BA courses at PRSU. However, candidates can get admission into BA courses based on their Class 12 scores. The basic eligibility criteria required by the university to get admission to BA courses is candidates must complete their higher senior secondary with at least an aggregate of 50%. The university evaluated the applicants' HSC scores and released the merit list, if candidates' names appear in the merit list they can get a seat in the program after paying an adequate amount of course fees.

PRSU admission 2024 has been completed for all courses. As per the last admission process, the final merit lists have been released for the courses Law and Management courses. To apply for MBA at PRSU, candidates must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. The eligible candidates can fill out the admission form in online/offline mode. PRSU admissions for B.A. Course is merit-based. Students need to fulfil the eligibility criteria for admissions. The eligibility criteria is that candidate should have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 50% aggregate. Eligible candidates can apply both via online and offline mode. For online application, students need to visit the PRSU official website and fill in the application form.

PRSU allows candidates to join UG courses directly based on merit. The university accepts Class 12 scores for the same, provided the candidate is eligible for his/her course. however, for PG and PG Diploma programmes along with certain UG courses, PRSU accepts national level entrance exams and PRSU PG entrance exam scores. During 2023 placements, the median package for BPharma and UG (3-year) courses stood at INR 2.50 LPA and INR 2.40 LPA, respectively. Further, the median package offered to PG (2-year) students was INR 2.45 LPA. Looking at the past three years' statistics, a fluctuating trend was observed in the BPharma and PG (2-year) median packages. On the other hand, year-on-year growth was recorded in the median package of UG (3-year) courses.
