M.A. in Environmental Science

Once the candidate has registered for MA programme, the performance of bachelor's degree is evaluated for admission. The university considers the merit in the last qualifying exam for admission to MA programme. An admission test is conducted for MA Human Rights and Human Development and Mass Communication & Videography as per an unofficial source. The university releases a selection list on the official website of the university to announce the names of the shortlisted aspirants. 

Rabindra Bharati University has not specified the minimum aggregate for any of the MA specialisation. However, aspirants are required to fulfil the below eligibility criteria to apply for MA course.

• Candidates need to pass BA (Hons) in relevant discipline to apply for Faculty of Arts MA specialisations. For some of the specialisations such as ENVS, Geography, HR and HD, etc., BSc/ BCom (Hons) is also accepted.
• Aspirants must pass MA or BA (Hons./ Spl.) in a relevant subject to apply for Faculty of Fine Arts and Faculty of Visual Arts MA specialisations.

Rabindra Bharati University has not specified the minimum percentage for MA Sanskrit. However, candidates must meet the qualifying requirement. Candidates need to pass BA (Hons) in Sanskrit from any UGC recognised University to apply for MA. Besides, aspirants need Honours/ Major/ General/ Pass in Class 12 plus three-year Diploma in the subject concernedhaving the relevant Subject of minimum 300 full marks at graduate level fromany UGC recognised institutions in India or abroad to apply for MA Sanskrit in distance education mode.

Rabindra Bharati University offers two-year MA course spread across four semesters. The university offers MA Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts and Faculty of Visual Arts in 23 specialisations at the PG level. Find below some of the specialisations:

The mode of education at Rabindra Bharati University is full-time. It also has a Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) through which students can pursue MA and MFA programmes in distance learning mode. Admission to CDOE is on first-come-first-serve-basis. Candidates need to fill out the application form and pay the fee for admission to CDOE courses.

Rabindra Bharati University offers a one-year B.Ed programme through the Faculty of Arts. Aspirants who have completed graduation or Hons. graduation or postgraduation from any UGC recognised university with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST) either at UG or PG level can apply for RBU Kolkata B.Ed programme. Aspirants will be shortlisted for B.Ed based on the merit in the last qualifying exam.

RBU offers a plethora of courses across its three faculties. Rabindra Bharati University (RBU) has three faculties, namely Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts, and Faculty of Visual Arts, that offer UG, PG, and doctoral programmes. Rabindra Bharati University conducts its own practical and theoretical test for admission to some of the UG and PG courses. Apart from the regular courses, the University also offers distance education programmes, training courses to prepare for NET and SET, and Remedial Coaching courses for first-generation learners.
