Getting admission to Rabindra Bharati University requries candidates to follow some steps. Beginning with registration, candidates are required to apply for the course of their choice. Follow the below steps to get admission to RBU Kolkata:

STEP 1: Candidates can apply online for the course of their choice. Aspirants meeting the eligibility criteria are required to create an account to login the student's portal for registration.

STEP 2: Admission to RBU Kolkata is based on the performance in the qualifying exam. The university considers the merit in the last qualifying exam for admission to most of the courses. An admission test is conducted for MA Human Rights and Human Development and Mass Communication & Videography as per an unofficial source.

STEP 3: After completion of the selection rounds, selected aspirants need to come for document verification. They need to report at the university with all the specified documents. Once the verification is done, aspirants are required to pay the course fee to confirm their seat in the university.

The mode of education at Rabindra Bharati University is full-time. It also has a Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) through which students can pursue MA and MFA programmes in distance learning mode. Admission to CDOE is on first-come-first-serve-basis. Candidates need to fill out the application form and pay the fee for admission to CDOE courses.
