To secure admission to the Raiganj University BSc course candidates must have a valid qualification, i.e.: Class 12 with a minimum 50% aggregate and have scored at least 60% marks in the subject in which honors is intend. Eligible candidates must apply for the BSc course. Raiganj University BSc application process is conducted in online mode. Once the application form are submitted candidates are shortlisted based on candidates' scores in the last qualifying exam. he merit lists are released in multiple rounds. Candidates must visit the official website to download the merit lists. The university shortlists candidates based on the merit lists. The merit list for self-financing courses is prepared separately. Once a student’s name appears in the BSc merit list, payment is required to be made as per the schedule published by the University. 

Raiganj University offers multiple specialisations such as  Computer Science,  Mathematics, Geography,  Sericulture, etc. TheThe core subejcts might vary throughout the BSc specialisations. However, there are few subjects which is common for all the specialisations. The subjects are Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathemathics. 

In all the courses, 80% of seats are reserved for Raiganj University passed out students and 20% of seats are offered to students from other universities.

Candidates having vocational courses degree can only apply for admission to the BA programme.
